Re: Had an event with zero events. Weird

Leaks. The bane of my existence I always get them. I think a diff mask would help, but I love the P10. I've been kind of slow on trying a new one. I should.

Re: Had an event with zero events. Weird

Nope, not interested in chasing anything, been sleeping just fine, and I know averaging 0.2-1.2 is very good. I just thought it was odd. I didn't know it was possible. It surprised the heck out of me, I thought it might be a mistake, but all the data seems to be there. It was just interesting to me....

Had an event with zero events. Weird

So I was posting a bunch in here while I learned about sleep apnea and CPAP. I did not know much even though I'd been doing CPAP therapy for 6 years. This is a great place to learn! Anyway, I stopped looking at OSCAR reports, and checking in for about a month, loaded up my SD card today and was scro...

Re: CPAP mask for 12year old boy

I second Dog Slobber's recommendation. It's a very personal thing, but the ResMed Airfit P10 really is about as minimalist as you can go. I've used that, and only that, for almost 6 years. If he gets used to it with low leaks, that might be just the ticket. Certainly won't make him feel to claustrop...

Re: What is the best CPAP Battery for Travel

I am going to see how long I could camp with that big battery by using my AirMini this week. I used to have a Medistrom, but it died after using it for 3 years as a UPS, and it's too expensive for that short lifespan, so I did not replace it. My thinking is it's very expensive because it provides th...

Re: Travel CPAP

Most of us here don't bother with distilled water, even though, as you say, the manufacturer is "pretty emphatic about it". There is a sticky about it. I have not used distilled water in many years, but I do dry my humidifier chamber every day. If you feel you want to use distilled water, if you don...

Re: Ive been diagnosed with Sleep Apnea – Now I’m getting very worried

I'll leave the coaching to others, I'm not experienced enough, but there are some very deep experts here who will get you straightened out. But until you can use the therapy all (or almost all) night, you're not going to make any headway. An hour and a half are not going to solve your issues (althou...

Re: What is the best CPAP Battery for Travel

This is my setup for volunteer radio work off-grid, and now that I've tested it, probably good for a week for camping. Too big and heavy for an airplane use. But I think LiFePO4 batteries are the way to go. Medistrom is not a special battery, per se, but the fact that it charges with many CPAP charg...

Re: What is the best CPAP Battery for Travel

I don't know what the "best" CPAP battery is, but size counts for something, so the Medistrom batteries are very light, will work for a night (maybe two) but they are very expensive. About $340. Without heated humidifier and tubing many say it will go for 2 nights. Those come with chargers and cords...

Re: The big mouth tape review thread

I have only tried Cover Roll Stretch, Dr. Johnes, Linhealth, and now HypaFix, but my conclusions are as follows. 1. If I have shaved that day, they all work. 2. If I skip a day of shaving, the Dr. Johnes and Linhealth are a 50/50 proposition 3. If I skip 2 days shaving, neither of those works at all...

Re: Standard vs Soft Response for people having trouble adapting to PAP

Thanks for reporting back, Lazarus! I'm on standard, too, but my numbers and my sleep quality don't seem to ever change much no matter what I do. I notice coaching new users often involves pressure and EPR setting changes, so I wondered if fiddling with this might be a good tool to have in the toolk...

Re: Is it worth moving from Resmed Autoset 10 to 11?

Like you, I had a 6-year-old AS10 running fine. AFAIK the only difference between the AS10 and AS11 is the size of the blower motor, the AS11 has the same blower motor as the AirMini. As has been mentioned the algo is still the same. No modem is no big deal now that I'm using Oscar. The MyAir report...
