Re: Is there a way to temporarily reduce the need for a humidifier?
I agree with others, not much you can do about "needing" humidity" when traveling, because you cannot use it with batteries, most likely. Having not used it and using it now where I go through nearly a full tub every night (Philly winter) in my AS10, I can say it's the least important factor in my t...

Re: Airsense 11 or 10?
Most people who have tried both do not find the differences very meaningful. The 11 uses a touchscreen while the 10 uses the control knob, that sort of thing. People who use the climateline tubing, like me, tend to prefer the 90-degree attachment elbow for the 10 as opposed to the straight off the b...

Re: Airsense 11 or 10?
True, it may last for years after the message appears. But if the current machine fails and then the old one fails, instead of having a ready backup they'll be without a machine for a bit. There are two types of people in the world, those that squeeze the last penny out of something, and those that ...

Re: Airsense 11 or 10?
Since you have a backup machine, so this is not urgent, you might consider having your AirSense 10 refurbished with a new motor, seals, and zeroing out the hours on your motherboard. You can have that done for less than $300, including shipping both ways. Mine is still with them so I can't review th...

Re: F&P Nova Micro Nasal Pillow Mask
I did not notice that at all, Bran. Both are comfortable masks, not loud, they leak about the same, at least for me, and I don't notice the venting at all. On the P10 the venting is aimed down, whereas on the F&P it vents toward the front, if that makes sense. But not into the eyes. Both masks are g...

Re: F&P Nova Micro Nasal Pillow Mask
Well, I'm going back to the P10 mask. No change in leak rate that I can see, and both masks are comfortable, but I've used the P10 for 8 years with no issues whatsoever, and if the F&P does not lower my leak rate, why spend another $80 a year in pillows? Great mask, however, I like it as much as the...

Re: F&P Nova Micro Nasal Pillow Mask
Well, second night with the new mask. Not enough to evaluate, I'll use it probably for the rest of the week, then try the P10 again for comparison. My observations so far, though, are my leak rate with both masks seem to be about the same. I thought the Nova would leak less but that is not the case,...

Re: F&P Nova Micro Nasal Pillow Mask
Thank you to the OP for enticing me to try a new mask! I've used the ResMed P10 for the 8 years I've been on CPAP therapy, trying only one other mask about 4 years ago. I forget what it was but it covered the whole nose, but only the nose, not the mouth. I've been very happy with the P10 and did not...

Curious about Oscar breathing waveforms
I have been getting great sleep for a long time, and nothing about CPAP seems to bother me, luckily, so no complaints. But I'm curious about Oscar waveforms. Some YouTube videos with Oscar demos in them show a breathing waveform that is pretty rounded on top and some say that is good to see. Mine te...

Re: Resmed Airsense 10 question
Of course, figuring out why it has not been transmitting data and fixing that is the easiest solution. I realize I did not address your original question. I was just trying to give you an alternate way around the issue. Hopefully someone here can help you troubleshoot your original problem. This was...

Re: Resmed Airsense 10 question
Most CPAP machines do not send data over cellular networks. Just because your machine did not come with an SD card installed, doesn't mean you can't get one and use it. I have the older AirSense 10 with cellular capability and keep it as my spare machine, and it does have the SD card slot. Contact y...

Re: How often do you actually replace your CPAP mask/headgear?
This is just me, no expert here, but been on CPAP therapy for about ten years with great success. And I don't bother with insurance, I just get stuff from CPAP supplies and pay for it myself. It's important to know my cleaning regimen, I suppose because that affects the replacement schedule. -Every ...

Re: Oscar not finding data Airsense 10
Hmmmm.
I did something wrong yesterday, apparently, in the sequence of letting the machine wake up, inserting the card, etc. Must have corrupted the data.
Today it worked perfectly. So aside from losing the last two months of data, everything is OK.

Thank you. I’ll try it again on the weekend and see if the drive letter changed
