Re: Nasal mask Recommendations Please!
I also added RemZzz's liners for nasal masks. They are thin cotton knit, like T-shirt material. They make a soft barrier between the mask and your skin. They are GREAT! No more sores or even red skin! Thanks so much! I wonder if the liners might help with the shifting and leaks of the cradle? I'm n...

Re: Nasal mask Recommendations Please!
You are quite welcome to continue assuming that YOUR nose would have gotten sore without the pillows ever touching it. That doesn't even make sense. I never suggested that. How else would my nose suffer from the pressure if the nasal pillows weren't touching it? As for my statement about every body...

Re: Nasal mask Recommendations Please!
Also in the Edit profile there is a choice to "let others see equipment" which should have also defaulted to "yes". You might check those setting choices. Bingo! I don't know if I accidentally changed that or if something wonky happened with the board, but I set that to YES and I'm in business. Tha...

Re: Nasal mask Recommendations Please!
You nose got sore from a pillow mask because our noses (before CPAP therapy) are not used to touch. You're making a rash assumption here. That is NOT the reason my nose got sore. MY nose got sore because I have dermatological issues and the pressure of the pillows caused problems. This was confirme...

Re: Nasal mask Recommendations Please!
As far as masks go.....you are just going to have to try the ones that look interesting to you to see how YOU do with the mask. Just because I might love a mask doesn't mean you will. Everyone is different....different facial structure, different preferences, different wants and different needs. Ye...

Nasal mask Recommendations Please!
I started out with a Respironics Nasal Pillow mask (small). It worked OK but after a couple of weeks, my nose was very sore, my eyes were very dry in the morning, and I was having mouth breathing issues that weren't helped by a chin strap. I switched to the ResMed F30i full face mask (small) which w...

Re: Retitration Reduction Advice
Thanks for the terminology! Re: migraines: My migraines didn't disappear when I was on CPAP before. And the morning after the titration I had a migraine that I think was triggered by the test, which might very well not be a problem once I get used to it again, or could be attributed to general lack ...

Re: Retitration Reduction Advice
Thanks Everyone. So I WAS confused because the docs used "sleep test" and "titration" Interchangeably. This morning before my appt, I got my test results in the mail that they supposedly mailed on the 13th (actually mailed on the 17th) BUT they didn't send me the new results, just the old. Bu...

Re: Retitration Reduction Advice
Also, I've never heard of a sleep study being done without a mask and CPAP/APAP/BiPAP. Every single person I know who's been evaluated has used a mask and machine during the test. Is that not the whole purpose? Apologize for my ignorance if not.

Re: Retitration Reduction Advice
My hospital/clinic refers to it as a (re)titration, and is analogous to a sleep test. I would have thought the data I provided and the fact that I said I tried a few different masks would have made it clear that I was using both a mask and machine. Even my very first one was referred to as a titrati...

Retitration Reduction Advice
Hello! My first titration was 10/2020. My first mask was a nasal pillow mask that was fine at first, but after a couple of weeks really started to irritate my skin AND was irritating my eyes (port in front) so I went to the ResMed N30i (port on top of head). In theory, it worked MUCH better. In prac...
