Re: Just had Septoplasty & Turbinectomy - anyone here who can experience share what this has meant for their CPAP therap

Just thought I would drop by and experience share now that I am almost 3 weeks post-surgery. Very quickly - yes this has achieved exactly what I hoped for. I was correct that going on CPAP formed just 50% of my sleep solution as my decongestant meds faded and failed after just a few hours of sleep, ...

Re: Just had Septoplasty & Turbinectomy - anyone here who can experience share what this has meant for their CPAP therap

I had my surgery done several years before I started using my bilevel machine. I was able to breath much easier through my nose with the splints in place than I could prior to the surgery. I had this done in conjunction with UPPP surgery and it kept me from needing a machine for more than fifteen y...

Re: Just had Septoplasty & Turbinectomy - anyone here who can experience share what this has meant for their CPAP therap

Gramps had turbinectomy and septum correction about 20 years ago. He says it was the best thing he ever did for himself - wonderful results. He says not only did it make CPAP easier, but he also breathes better during the day. He also got a warning not to use CPAP for thirty days. He ignored it and...

Just had Septoplasty & Turbinectomy - anyone here who can experience share what this has meant for their CPAP therapy?

After starting out with APAP for a couple of weeks (Resmed Autoset 11 with nasal pillows) as a total newbie, I realised I had only solved one half of the “good night’s sleep” equation as I continued to suffer with really bad nasal congestion. One week ago I got Septoplasty & Turbinectomy surgery to ...

Re: New to CPAP - Advice from experienced users would be welcomed

In for surgery this evening my time. Will need to stay overnight and during 2 week recovery period will have initially no ability to breathe through my nose, which I am dreading. I'm having correction of my septum, turbinate reduction, and removal of cysts (which need to be tested). ENT doc says thi...

Re: Configuring FlashAir SD to sync to DropBox or a NAS folder

Unfortunately, although I can wirelessly see the contents of the folder, the setup utility which I downloaded (per the above advice) does not seem to be able to access the FlashAir setup. I have a series 4 FlashAir but cannot even get into the setup.

That's very likely what you're looking for. I did not use that when I set mine up.
Thanks for this - will give it a go and report back. If I work this out I'll post how-to instructions.

Re: New to CPAP - Advice from experienced users would be welcomed

I saw my first ENT doc in January and again in February - this was a disaster. First visit: 1. Told him I has a deviated Septum and he examined me and said that I didn't 2. Told him I'd been reliant on Sudafed since having Covid and he said not a problem. 3. He told me to continue on Sudafed (and Na...

Re: Configuring FlashAir SD to sync to DropBox or a NAS folder

I know that there is a set up menu on these cards so that you can set up internet/ethernet passthrough. I have seen YoutTubes showing this menu. My problem is I can't even get to this setup menu. The guidance I have seen suggests there's a tab or button to press when the FalshAir folder loads, but I...

Re: Configuring FlashAir SD to sync to DropBox or a NAS folder

Have got a little stuck trying to set up the Flashair (4th generation) - I have put the SD card in the ResMed, connected to the FlashAir wirelessly from my laptop, and can open the folder. There are 6 items in the folder, but no set-up button/tab. Nothing inside any of the folders kicks off the set ...

Re: New to CPAP - Advice from experienced users would be welcomed

Thanks for both replies and I will post some stats in a few days once I build these up. I had to reset the time zone (as I initially hoped that by telling the machine it was in the USA it might start uploading my stats but this didn’t work, and you need to erase your data to reset the time zone ). M...

Re: New to CPAP - Advice from experienced users would be welcomed

Interesting that you went from ENT straight to CPAP provider without a sleep study. A sleep study may have shown that nasal masks do not work for you. I too have severe apnea and rattle windows with snoring...for decades. Being informed about my ceasing to breathe for up to a minute, repeatedly got...

Configuring FlashAir SD to sync to DropBox or a NAS folder

This thread is closely linked to another topic where I asked if the Airsense 11 could work with wifi. I'm brand new to using a positive pressure device and haven't yet uploaded any data and so please forgive my lack of basic knowledge. So I ended up buying a Toshiba FlashAir SD card (Series 4, 16GB)...

Re: Does modem on Resmed AirSense 11 work internationally?

In my local app store (Hong Kong), myAir doesn't even feature the AirSense 11 as a machine to select. It does work with the 10. This means I had to download myAir from the US app store (which means I needed to get a US Apple ID). However, even then the data from the 11 doesn't upload to the app. Hop...

Re: Traveling

I'm new to this and just got an AirSense 11. Seems small enough to use on long haul flights and so I have just bought a battery to use with it. Comes with a nice travel case.
