If the ambient temperature is high enough the hose is not heated at all. The humidifier is a much stronger heat source ...

The obvious difference is the heated hose. ResMed has a temperature sensor there. If the temperature is set at 20°C and depending on the ambient conditions it may well be that the heating of the humidifier will be throttled to not exceed the set temperature - as opposed to a fixed setting of 3 witho...
