Re: Extremely rapid breathing on bi-level (28 resp. rate)

How is a 9+ AHI of CA okay?

Also, what's the point in responding to my post when you're just going to have a rude tone? Don't need your help then, thanks.

Re: Extremely rapid breathing on bi-level (28 resp. rate)

Forgot to mention that I'm using a Resmed Aircurve 10 VAuto. Ti Min and Ti Max are at default.

Extremely rapid breathing on bi-level (28 resp. rate)

Hi, I posted here before about how APAP did not relieve my symptoms of tiredness, it also did not relieve my extremely long and vivid dreams; to me that was a sign of arousals occuring during REM. For reference, my sleep study picked up an AHI of 50 during REM. In short, I am now using a bi-level in...

Uneven flow rate with spikes? [UARS]

Hello, I had a previous thread where some helpful people gave me advice to adjust my minimum pressure up to 7cm with an EPR of 3. For reference, my original sleep study AHI was 11 overall (with 50 AHI in REM) which was comprised of purely hypopneas without significant oxygen desaturation. Effectivel...

Re: I have been using APAP since New Year and still feel sleepy. Need help with settings

I do need to improve my sleep hygiene, yes. However, it's taken a backseat to first improving sleep quality. Since starting CPAP I sleep more, sometimes 8-12 hours. I have been trying to stick to a more rigid schedule but now there is often days where I sleep 12 hours.

No medications at all. Nothing OTC. Is it simply a case of sleep debt and needing more time to recover?

Re: I have been using APAP since New Year and still feel sleepy. Need help with settings

I took your advice and incrementally increased minimum pressure by 0.2-0.4cm a day and now am at 7cm min and 12max. I still feel terrible. I still feel sleepy. I also corrected the long-duration leaks I had by wearing a chin-strap, that definitely solved the leak issue. I attached a screenshot here....

Not that I remember, no. But my concern is micro-arousals. Just like how apnea events wake you up without consciously remembering it.

Hello robysue1, Thank you very much for your reply, I really appreciate it. - Apologies for the zoomed in data, I have attached screenshots of those nights that are zoomed out so you can see the entirety of the night. Do these give a better idea of what's going on? - Unfortunately, anything to do wi...

I have been using APAP since New Year and still feel sleepy. Need help with settings

Hello, Thank you to whoever replies to this. I was diagnosed with an AHI of 11, purely hypopneas- no apneas or RERAs were noted during my in-lab sleep study. I have severe symptoms: drowsiness, sleepiness and general body fatigue. This all started about three years ago and has been progressively get...
