Re: pillow talk
If you like a firm pillow, you'll probably like the PAPillow. I got one 3 months ago, and found it took a little getting used to because it is so firm, but I like it fine now. I find it better than a std. pillow for mask leak management

Re: Has anyone started an exercise program after starting CPAP
I have. After your body adjusts to sleeping normally an exercise program should help you to both feel and sleep better. If I don't get my walk or bike ride in daily I notice the difference in my energy level(although I still sleep like a rock). Regular exercise will help you feel more energetic and ...

It gets even better! The bad nights will become fewer and fewer, and you will sleep soundly through the night for the amount of sleep required by your body. That may not be 8 hours, but you'll know when you stay awake and alert between morning and bedtime. If it can happen for me, it can happen for ...

I tried an M series and traded it in for another Spirit when I changed insurance companies. I also have a PB420E which has gone traveling around the world with me. I love the Spirit although it is big. I like my 420E and get a great night of sleep on it. I found the M series to be extremely noisy, a...

I just got an M series auto this week. Some very nice features, easy to fill and clean humidifier, and I LOVE C-Flex, which I was indifferent to before trying it. The only drawback I have found is it is very noisy compared to my ResMed Spirit or my PB320E. I never owned a tank, so I can't say if the...

Hi Grimace- This might be a stupid question but, here goes anyway. Are you having issues exhaling? If not, and it's not causing you compliance issues, why bother getting a new machine if Respironics hasn't changed their algorithm? If you are sleeping well now, you may not gain anything. Just my non ...

Kathy, I agree with Suzy. Turn the lower pressure up. Too low a bottom pressure can make you you uncomfortable and you end up taking the mask off. I know that from sad experience. Another thing that makes you feel like you are suffocating is a mouth leak. You might be more comfortable a couple point...

I'm not a Doctor, but I discussed my settings with my GP. My sleep study titrated me at 15, with an AHI of 14 at that pressure (AHI 94 untreated). I noted on my sleep study that REM sleep did not occur below 11, so I made that my min. I left the top wide open at 20. My average pressure is runs betwe...

Hi Caroline, Get a copy of your 5 year old sleep study. You have a right to it. Then find a doctor willing to review it with you and talk reasonably about it. If this individual can convince you there is merit in another sleep study, fine. Most likely, unless something has changed physically for you...

There is no single best mask. The besk mask for you is one that you can sleep comfortably in all night, and that will vary from person to person. If you are working with your insurance, find a DME provider that will have several demo masks for you to try on. I have been using an Activa for the last ...
