Been on CPAP for 15+ years. Doing well with it. Use P10 pillows and no real issues.

My recent supply order from VA came with heated hoses. Never used them before.

Any reason to use them?

Any sort of battery backup will work. the issue is how long will it provide power.

I have traveled the world and cruised with my regular machine. I do pack it in my roll aboard/carryon and do not use the packing bag they give you

If not wanting ANOTHER bag to drag around, consider putting it in your carryon vs having that extra bag. I do that and it works fine. We do travel with friends that also carry their CPAP bag. It is so nice NOT to do that.
