Re: How to deal with extreme anxiety over a "flutter" that is intermittent or always there but occulted
Hi everyone. Thanks for all your support and replies. I continue to have "flutter" while reating awake or sleeping. I have had three Holters, two echoes (different Cardiologists), one treadmill, four Allopath doctor visits, one visit to Emerg (BP 180/110 three nights in a row), three psychiatric vis...

Re: Severe mixed apnea with 35
Hi there, I hope this is not off topic. I am waking up every night for only the past six weeks or so, with palpitations that returned after i did some heavy work sanding and POLYURETHANE varnishing a floor in July-September last year (have seen the Cardiologist and had several tests done including E...

Re: How to deal with extreme anxiety over a "flutter" that is intermittent or always there but occulted
Hi Robysue, Note: i don't have an arrythmia according to my Cardiologist (and many before him) but I get "something" that "vibrates/flutters" somewhere inside, just as I am dropping off to sleep. I don't focus on it when i am sleeping; but Thanks so much for replying. I was originally assigned Auto ...

Re: How to deal with extreme anxiety over a "flutter" that is intermittent or always there but occulted
Hi Pugsy, I finally saw the Cardiologist today and he said my heart is normal. I thank God for this. I don't have any "arrhythmia". However, i still cannot set my machine with optimal therapy (Respironics System One Bipap Auto and/or Remstar Aire10 For Her) because my sleep study clinic is holding o...

Re: Gasping for air when starting to fall asleep with CPAP:
Hi there, This sentence in your response seems to highlight precisely what I have experience: I need to read up on this medication...so remind me if I forget but I need to see what the machine is recording at the same time. It's possible that you are experiencing what we call a sleep onset central a...

Re: How to deal with extreme anxiety over a "flutter" that is intermittent or always there but occulted
I'm not sure what you mean. I have Oscar. But posting screenshots in Imagur is not interactive; is there a way to post something from Oscar which is interactive (instead of posting partial pages showing SOME of the data from the night's sleep)?

Re: Which Therapy - CPAP or APAP Best Prevents Palpitations?
Thanks for that. I see the RR of 50 and it is the same in APAP mode: https://imgur.com/a/e1dZlP0 I don't think i am actually breathing that fast; but i am asleep so i can't tell. I switched my therapy back to APAP from CPAP mode last night and the AHI improved. I don't know how to add a "interactive...

Re: Which Therapy - CPAP or APAP Best Prevents Palpitations?
Hi Chicago Granny, The "pauses" are in the Flow Rate (see attached). Have you seen things like this before? I just don't know if my settings are correct -- I used the same settings a few days ago and didn't get those pauses, or the cluster of events. Not sure how to improve my therapy to erase such ...

Re: Which Therapy - CPAP or APAP Best Prevents Palpitations?
Hi Chicago Granny, Thanks for the reply. It appears you could be right: I am woken up in the middle of my sleep and it takes awhile to get back to sleep. What i am concerned about is the long pauses (some appear to be 1 minute long) in the following charts: https://imgur.com/a/ANzH81r I don't know i...

I was taking CALM but have been using Seroquel (25 mg) for the past week because I was only getting about two-three hours of sleep on the CALM. On the Seroquel I get more sleep; but i am concerned that it is making me stop breathing for as long as a minute(!). Could you or anyone else on the board h...

Hi Chicago Granny,
I have added the link. Please could you have a look?
I highlighted two sections that look "unusual" but I don't know if they are or not.
Thanks for your help I appreciate it very much!
Paul

Re: Which Therapy - CPAP or APAP Best Prevents Palpitations?
Hi, Thanks for the helpful feedback. Attached are the latest dataset. I have highlighted two results (Insp Time, Resp Time and Minute Vent) which seems to show I had a 40-minute period of low breathing (but I might be reading this incorrectly); the Insp Time is almost flat, vs the Resp Rate and Minu...

Re: Which Therapy - CPAP or APAP Best Prevents Palpitations?
Hi, That's great to hear. My problem is that i have to wait for a referral from my family doctor (who has no Sleep Medicine expertise) to see a Sleep Disorder Specialist and take a Sleep Study; it takes weeks to get this done and get the results. When i have the results, i can then set my CPAP or AP...

Re: Which Therapy - CPAP or APAP Best Prevents Palpitations?
Hi all, Thanks for the informative feedback; especially for the encouraging article on sleep-apnea and arrhythmias. I hope others may contribute more. I have seen improvement in my sleep after taking Seroquel (prescribed by the psychiatrist my doctor sent me to for anxiety relating to the "flutter")...

Which Therapy - CPAP or APAP Best Prevents Palpitations?
Hi, I am not new to CPAP or APAP. I have used a Respironics machine (CPAP) for 12 years and, when that machine started having issues ("Call Support Displayed), I bought a ResMEd Aire10 AUtoset For Her. I have an issue with a "flutter". I have had some success (6 hours of sleep) using the Autoset in ...
