Re: Any problems with this ahi result?

Thank you Pugsy.
If I may, i would have another question :how did you detect in Marcusstephen's graphs that the AHI were arousal/awake irregularities and not airway related events ?

Re: Any problems with this ahi result?

Pugsy, Is it correct to say that if an AHI's occur, when FL's are very low or zero, these AHI's are not related to the airway limitation/CPAP therapy, but have another cause: movement in the bed or other?

thank you

your opinion on min Pressure setting ?

Difficult night: need to dry my mask which starts to leak when it is wet (mouth tape not waterproof enough). Airsense 11, FFM F20 min P = 10, Max P = 19, EPR = 3 My question: arrival around 4:20 of a strong rise of FL's. If my min P had been = 11 vs 10, would the pressure rise swing have been faster...

Re: Dry mouth, chapped lips, little or no leaks, with a maxed out humidity setting & heated hose

Robysue,

Can I ask you a very timid question about your struggle with condensation/humidity.... ?

I sleep in a room at 17 degrees celsius/62.6 fahrenheit, humidifier of the Airsense 11 set at 2, hose kept outside.
It is not an issue for me.

What would be the result for you?

Re: Dry mouth, chapped lips, little or no leaks, with a maxed out humidity setting & heated hose

If I make a modest comparison with my case. For a AHI comparable: -your FL is very good, mine is awful (0.13 to 0.18) -you have an aerophagy problem, I don't therefore my settings are different from yours. PMax 19, Pmin 10, EPR 2. So you are using a Resmed AirSense Auto PAP. I find that my nights a...

Robysue, many thanks for your thread, very interesting. Even if, still a 4 months beginner, don't understand every detail. If I make a modest comparison with my case. Weirdness in the OSCAR graph ?

I changed my mask twice during the night.
Each time, it lasted less than 2 minutes.
And yet, OSCAR indicates a stop of 45 minutes for one and almost 50 minutes for the other ?

Travelling with the Airsense 11 machine ? Is it viable ?

Hello, I'm 4 months in CPAP and I'm planning to travel with plane, cab and some hotel changes. And I'm starting to worry ! Traveling with the Airsense 11 machine: I wonder if it will be pratical and not dangerous for the machine, even with care ? So I would be interested to have your experience and ...

Re: Bursts of air coming out of mouth, CPAP no longer usable

Also, there is a sticky near the top of the forum index page entitled "Sticky: Distilled Water vs. bottled water vs tap water." Read this post in the sticky: This comes up over, and over... It oughta be a sticky. In other countries, where distilled water is not as cheap and plentiful as it is in th...

ChicagoGranny,
if I understand you correctly, using boiled water is not a good idea, and I should keep using the tap water ?

Thank you

Re: Bursts of air coming out of mouth, CPAP no longer usable

I have exactly the same symptoms of mouth leaking. Air that wants to spurt out of your mouth. Even if you keep your mouth closed. And that prevents you from sleeping. I am also new (4 months). I've implemented the excellent advices from the experienced members of the forum and it works. As said in t...

help : overabundance of saliva in the mouth and mouth leaking

I started the CPAP treatment 3 months ago (sleep test 34 apneas). I am globally satisfied with my results (AHI from 0.5 to 2.5) and with my progress in reading the results thanks to the Forum and Oscar. That said, my nights and days are not yet "a long quiet river". I am struggling with: - a high le...
