Re: OSCAR 2.0 is Available
"Our problem is that we don't have a developer with a Mac Mx computer..." I understand the problem now and wish I could help out - but the last time I did any code development was probably 30 years ago on what are now completely archaic systems. For the time being, the old version of OSCAR works fin...

Re: OSCAR 2.0 is Available
Importing from 1.7 is good - but: I'm a Mac user - and see on the Mac install page that it was compiled for Intel CPUs - Apple Silicon requires the use of Rosetta. As far as I can see, this was not the case for 1.7. Looking a little deeper, I saw that Rosetta is going away in the not too distant fut...

Re: OSCAR 2.0 is Available
Can existing data from Oscar 1.7 be imported into Oscar 2.0 - to allow a single view for past and present data?

Re: Airline Travel With CPAP
FWIW, my wife & I travel with our CPAPs - TSA seems to be used to seeing these & haven't raised a fuss. We simply keep them in the travel bags & put them in the trays - no issues.

Re: Sleeplay doesn't honor warranty
I can't let this one slip by (my original degree was in Materials Engineering - a Doctorate in Nuclear Materials from MIT)... Stainless Steel ALWAYS has Iron - that is what the "Steel" part of the name refers to. Whether it is magnetic or not - or whether it "rusts" or not depends upon a lot of othe...

Re: Web site problem?
I've been seeing the "you cannot search...server has high load" for a few days ago (I usually search for unread posts to see what's new). Seems like something might be hammering the servers (DDOS?)

Re: Overseas Travel
The CPAP machine doesn't use wifi & the internet to upload usage data - it uses a cell phone connection (built-in cell modem). These usually will not work in a different country (I'm guessing you're starting off in the US). However, it will continue to store data on an SD card inside (if you have on...

Re: Replacing parts on Air sense 11
The recommended replacement schedule is partly CYA & partly a way to get more money for the DME's. Initially, as a newbie, I thought there might be some valid reason for the recommendations - but then after a little experience & a lot of learning from this group, I'm following a different schedule -...

Re: Traveling to Japan with ResMed AirSense 10 Autoset for Her
Neither of us try to use our CPAP machines on the plane - so no experience. I do recall seeing some threads about that in the past, so doing a search might help. From what I vaguely remember reading - you want to keep your tank connected without water in it - and turn off the humidifier & heated hos...

Re: Traveling to Japan with ResMed AirSense 10 Autoset for Her
The caution about using 110V AC heating devices on 100V AC supply probably applies to things that have the heating element directly connected to the AC power & use a significant amount of power (for example, the curling irons and hairdryers). The humidifier heater in the AirSense 10 is not like this...

Re: WATER COMING UP IN TUBE
Pugsy: Thanks - makes a lot of sense to me. Physics/Thermodynamics determine what will happen & its best to work with them rather than against. I'll simply continue to put my machine on a convenient stand next to the bed - I have a heated hose & have experienced rainout maybe twice in the 5 months I...

Re: WATER COMING UP IN TUBE
"But for right now, be sure your machine's is situated lower than your mattress so the water will run back to it and not to you." I keep on seeing this recommendation & it still makes no sense to me. The water is due to condensation, which will occur all along the tubing. The tubing from the machine...

Re: Filter pitcher for distilled water
"I really wish I could find a tody way to tap into the pellet stove heat." Google should be your friend - I googled "How to make distilled water on a pellet stove" and got lots of answers. One is below, there's lots more. Really shouldn't be all that difficult, if you're handy with duct tape... http...

Re: Filter pitcher for distilled water
I've never tried it - but, it seems to me that the name is a bit misleading, as a filtration system can not produce distilled water. From Mirriam Webster: "water that has been freed of dissolved or suspended solids and from organisms by distillation (as for medical or chemical purposes)" - and this ...
