Re: Looking for assistance interpreting information
Well I meant "pain free" from at least the recent surgery or pain reduced to a point it no longer is a huge sleep disruption. The other aches and pains fall back in to the "status quo" and it is what it is. The original concern was the large number of central apneas flagged where there never has be...

Re: Looking for assistance interpreting information
He needs to be pain free and off the meds and sleeping decently to get some sort of typical report. Well he is never going to achieve that goal unfortunately. He's had about 10 surgeries, one of which was to put pins and plates in his neck. He is never pain free. Also, he never seems well rested. E...

Re: Looking for assistance interpreting information
Let’s give the recovery another couple of days before looking at the settings. For O2 levels you’d need a recording oximeter. Click on the Oximetry link on the Welcome page of Oscar for information about oximeters that are compatible with Oscar. Looking at the chart I posted earlier, could anyone g...

Re: Looking for assistance interpreting information
Looking at the chart I posted earlier, could anyone give me information regarding settings? Do I still need to make adjustments? Pressure? Ramp? I don’t really know how to read the chart and tell what O2 levels are.

Re: Looking for assistance interpreting information
hitting the preview button will show you what is posted to the forum. Thank you. I mostly meant the thumbnails and/or links. I see the thumbnail (like I thought the pinned post mentioned is how I should link it) but when I click the thumbnail it doesn’t take me to the link. So then I’m curious if I...

Re: Looking for assistance interpreting information
Thank you so much! Even off of the meds, I know I need to learn more about his condition because it can be very serious. He’s only 44. He thinks I’m being overly cautious, but I want to keep him as healthy as possible. I’m only 35 and we need to have another 40 years. 😂 Seriously though, thank you a...

Re: Looking for assistance interpreting information
I posted last night's charts above. I hope y'all can see them. I'm sorry, I'm not used to posting on boards so I'm not quite sure if I'm doing it correctly.

Re: Looking for assistance interpreting information
Hello, Hi Now, would you please bring up the 16th in Oscar, then highlight a small section where it looks like a solid block of purple, (click and drag with your mouse, or use the up arrow to zoom in, and left/right arrow keys to move to the side) and give us about a 5 minute section say around 3:4...

Re: Looking for assistance interpreting information
Keep further posts here if you don't mind. Just in case someone wants to see the "before and after"....  I suspect that the difference will be rather remarkable and people can see and learn for themselves. What kind of surgery did he have? He had amputation of a toe. He has about a 4 inc...

Re: Looking for assistance interpreting information
Okay thank you everyone. It seems like most agree that ceasing the opiates will remedy the problem. Should I stay on this post when I get clean charts in a few days or should I start a new topic/post?

Re: Looking for assistance interpreting information
Welcome! You are right that Percocet and other opioid drugs can cause central apnea. (A central apnea is a pause in breathing of 10 seconds or more that does not result from an obstruction.) Now that your husband is on a new medication, you'll want to see whether the CAs go down. The SD card and Os...

Re: Looking for assistance interpreting information
When I see clustered Centrals like that *on a relatively* new CPAP user, often it is an EPR sensitivity and reducing/removing EPR stops all the Centrals. Same thing is true with higher pressure sensitivity inducing centrals. But, I haven't seen an experienced CPAP user suddenly develop EPR/pressure...

Looking for assistance interpreting information
Hello, My husband has a CPAP and I am attempting to learn more regarding his sleep apnea. His AHI typically stays under 3, and most often is under 1.5. On Tuesday of this week, he had surgery and was put on Percocet for the pain. Starting Tuesday night, his AHI jumped to 53 and then was 75.8 on Thur...
