Re: AHI isn't everything
Hey Team, Just wanted to put this up for discussion and give my perspective on the matter. Don't let your AHI dictate your quality of sleep. There's so many other factors. For example; I've been on APAP therapy the past few months and my AHI has probably been a 1.5 on average (From a staggering 21....

Re: AHI isn't everything
There are so many things that can contribute to frequent wake-ups. If you have another study, be sure it includes leg movements, for one thing. Also, stress, anxiety, caffeine, and alcohol can make contributions. You might try reducing stress by taking walks or meditating to see if that helps. Try ...

Re: AHI isn't everything
Would be great to get some input from other members on the matter. How's your sleep hygiene? Drugs? Caffeine? Stress? It's pretty good to be honest. That's something I'm always trying to improve. naturally on weekends it isn't the best but monday to friday I avoid alcohol and caffeine at night/afte...

Re: Pretty sure I have UARS
Thanks for the perspective. Seeing my sleep specialist next week and going to ask him to refer me to an ENT and to review my sleep data. Also, Thought I'd put this up for educational purposes, just scrolling through my sleep data from last night and have stumbled across my first Central Apnea since ...

Re: Pretty sure I have UARS
Anyone out there with UARS experience and is using to CPAP to treat it let me know your experience. I'll be very grateful. Thumper makes a good point. Every single person who is diagnosed with sleep-disordered breathing should have a consultation with an ENT. The ENT will examine the septum, turbin...

Re: Pretty sure I have UARS
Do you have either a deviated septum or nasal congestion.I have both and I've found a pretty effective way of dealing with them . If it's not either one of those two, I wouldn't be the guy to give you advice. Thumper I have both of these issues my friend. Only reason i'm wearing one of those bloody...

Re: Pretty sure I have UARS
I'm a very curious human being that's eager to learn so can't help but look at my data each morning and want to investigate. That's OK. I looked at my data in OSCAR (or its predecessors) nearly every day when I first started out. My CPAP therapy has been stable for years now, but I look at the repo...

Re: Pretty sure I have UARS
Forgetting the data for a moment, what daytime symptoms cause you to be concerned about UARS? Not how you feel upon awakening, but how do you evaluate your vigor for the whole day? Just fatigued all day really. I'm a very curious human being that's eager to learn so can't help but look at my data e...

Pretty sure I have UARS
AHI has always been very low on CPAP therapy roughly 2 From a whopping 22.5 when I did my sleep study in the lab. Ever since i've downloaded OSCAR i've not been seeing the flat flow limit i'd like but instead all these arousals. Looking back on my sleep study my arousal index was 25. Starting to thi...

Re: These are NOT Clear Airways
There are awake/arousal central apneas……no air is moving because no effort is made and lasts 10 seconds. Technically the definition is met. I wish this machine did some sort of arousal measuring. I'm not too concerned about the CA's because they are fairly low and I've heard they're common when sta...

Re: These are NOT Clear Airways
The LankyLeft27 talks about these that have garbage or junk breathing before hand (likely waking up) as being false flagged CA's.
At least that's what I've gathered from his videos. Feel free to correct me if i'm wrong.
I thought central apneas and clear airways were the same thing.
