Stuff of nightmares

:D I saw a thread about keeping bugs out of your CPAP machine. I saw a lot of smart ass remarks up there too. Lol I actually had that nervous thought before I got my CPAP machine a few weeks ago because we have a ton of earwigs on the property this year for some reason. I actually found a couple of ...

Re: Vitamin D efficiency study referenced in NYT article

Thanks.

And to be honest I don’t have access to the New York Times article to have found the pup med.

I still greatly appreciate your input.

Re: Vitamin D efficiency study referenced in NYT article

I guess I am just naturally suspicious of those who are set to make a buck on research.

You are right about capitalism but still it should be basically the first thing you read, not scribbled at the bottom. I wouldn't have noticed the conflict of interest were it not for the previous poster.

Re: Vitamin D efficiency study referenced in NYT article

Ugh

It’s unfortunate when such blatent conflicts of interest are present. Most folks don’t notice that sort of info.

Re: Another new here post..

My provider had mine set at 4 for 15m. I felt like I was gasping for air. I switched it to 5 min. Not sure if I should have done that but I like it much better. I settle down pretty quickly.

Not sure why such a long low pressure lead in time would be necessary.

Re: Another new here post..

I just ordered one of these. Most of these assists require stuffing it under a mattress but this one can hook on just about anything less than 3in thick. https://www.amazon.com/JAKIA-Minimize-Adjustable-Tube-CPAP-Accessory/dp/B089W44YZR/ref=sr_1_3?crid=3E5L0LKOP0UT2&keywords=jakia+cpap+hose+holder&q...

Re: Vitamin D efficiency study referenced in NYT article

I dont recall where I was reading but I think the Tungsten ones produce the right wavelength? This particular source has a chart but to be honest, I am not sure if there is an overlap. https://www.herschel-infrared.co.uk/how-do-infrared-heaters-work/types-of-infrared-heat/ You seem much more knowleg...

Re: Vitamin D efficiency study referenced in NYT article

Interesting.

I wear SPF hoodies and hats and hate sunscreen.

I may need to start a med that means photosensitivity. But here is to hoping the cpap delays that need.

Re: Prepping for the next outage

I don’t think I will be able to convince our local power company to get a $6000 battery. :-) It’s a nice thought though. It helps to be old and decrepit. :) Well… at leayou have THAT going for you. jk Pugsy- Thanks! I know you say big whoop but part of the reason I am asking in the first plac...

Re: Prepping for the next outage

Thanks to all of you for the input. I have seen other posters talking about these little portable CPAP machines which I can’t afford right now. What I am wondering is there any adapters out there to make it work more efficiently or allow you to attach it via USB-a or Usb-c? This thing is supposed to...

Re: Prepping for the next outage

Thanks. We have jcpl here. Might be worth looking into. After digging around some more I was half tempted to ask the administrator to remove my post because I saw there was a whole other thread along these lines. I really want to apologize. If you would please private message me whenever you learn. ...

Re: Prepping for the next outage

My ultimate goal is to invest in a nice GoalZero set with solar hookup.

A bit pricey but probably worth it.
