Mask shifting in bed
Hello everyone, I hope you're doing well. I posted recently about not being able to sleep with the mask. I have broken down the problem into separate issues; I realize it's not just not being comfortable with the mask on my nose and face that is the issue but that lying in bed as opposed to practici...

Re: Just can't sleep with my mask on!
The sensory overload problem is very real....and not very easy to fix. I do think you are probably experiencing it. You might want to read this http://adventures-in-hosehead-land.blogspot.com/p/taming-cpap-induced-insomnia-monster_19.html if nothing else it will help you realize that you aren't alo...

Re: Just can't sleep with my mask on!
Please tell us exactly what mask you have. You might try this: Take a wash cloth or your fingertips and rub your face fairly vigorously (but not hard enough to irritate the skin) everywhere the mask touches before you put the mask on for the night. You can also give yourself some deep pressure mass...

Re: Just can't sleep with my mask on!
I think I am very sensitive to things on my skin . I have no idea if any medication could be making me more sensitive to the mask on my face. That's a good question but I have no reason to think so. And there is is always the fiddling with the masking bed to have a good seal that is still relativel...

Re: Just can't sleep with my mask on!
Trying to figure out 1...if you are just maybe hypersensitive to the mask/cpap thing 2...if your meds are maybe contributing to the maybe hypersensitive situation 3...if you have a sleep problem in general that cpap is making worse. To fix any problem you first have to identify the root problem. I ...

Re: Just can't sleep with my mask on!
Do you take any medications of any kind (even OTC)? If so, what? Do you have a problem falling asleep once you remove the cpap mask? How long does it take to fall asleep once you remove the mask? I take several medications. The most important ones to mention are effexor 300mg/ day. Pregabalin 150 m...

Just can't sleep with my mask on!
Hi I got my CPAP machine a few years ago and there have been a couple of brief periods when I was able to sleep with it but I wasn't diligent and going back to using it is a huge challenge. I have a res med unit and most recently got a quite comfortable nasal pillow mask. I am in touch occasionally ...
