Re: Advice on a new ResMed cpap
I've used both the Autoset 10 and Autoset 11. No difference in therapeutic result. Personally I'd go with which is cheapest.

Re: Using CPAP for years, always tired (oscar analysis?)
There's a hint of clustering in your OAs and Hs. That could indicate a positional issue, especially if you're tucking your chin down toward your chest. That can slightly restrict your airway, making it easier for obstructive-type events to occur. Common culprits include using pillows that are too h...

Same here, plus (the biggie) it allows me to sleep all night on my back with no increase in AHI.Dream01121953 wrote: ↑Fri May 12, 2023 8:01 pmUsing a soft cervical collar at the suggestion of those on this board, my leak rate and events recorded by my equipment dropped substantially.

Re: Evora Full Face Mask - Dry mouth despite no noticeable leak events
Same problem here, with the same mask. Followed a suggestion here to try to discourage my mouth from opening with a cervical collar, and that did the trick. You could also try mouth tape, if the collar isn't enough. (Or a chin strap, but that did not work for me.)

Re: Evora Full Face Mask stuffing up nose
Have you considered raising (or decreasing) the humidity when using the Evora? It doesn't make much sense logically, because, why should your humidity needs change suddenly? But then a sudden change in a mask that functioned well also doesn't make much sense. And have you checked leaks recently? Ye...

Evora Full Face Mask stuffing up nose
I was using a full-face mask from China (see photo in my avatar) successfully, but was intrigued by the pictures of the F&P Evora FFM and decided to try it. After an adjustment period of a few weeks, it seemed to be working out, so I decided to permanently switch. Unlike the original mask, it lets m...

Re: Is it worth moving from Resmed Autoset 10 to 11?
I've used both the 10 and the 11. I'm currently using the 10, until I get around to sending the 11 out for repair. (I pulled the 11 off the shelf and killed the heating element.) There is no difference in the efficacy of the therapy, at least not for me. The major difference is in the interface, and...

2. Collar. If your jaw tends to drop down during the night, pulling your mouth open, then a soft cervical collar, or a firmer snore collar, can be a big boon. More here: http://www.apneaboard.com/wiki/index.php...cal_Collar A collar might also help you with positional apnea clusters, if you find on...

Re: Full Face Mask Reccomendations
I was using a mask very similar to the Quattro (see.photo on my Avatar) and didn't really mind it. I was intrigued by photo of the F&P Evora full face mask and decided to give that a try. Took some fiddling with it, but now that I've got it adjusted properly, it's more comfortable than the Quattro, ...

Re: Quietest cpap with battery backup?
As I said on the other thread, I have use both the Airsense 10 and Airsense 11, and the difference in the noise level between them, if any, is undetectable. I can barely hear them when they're running, and the little bit of noise is white noise, which I think is unlikely to disturb sleep.
