Re: Last Night Was First Night
I don't know if I am the most extreme case or not, but I waged war with my CPAP machine for 18 months before being able to use it consistently. Check out this chart. The red shows all the times that I was yanking my mask off in the middle of the night due to discomfort or whatever else was going on ...

Re: Coughing with Mouth Closed
Your ears ain't gonna enjoy it all that much. Yeah, I know! Ugh... So what's a "mouth taper" to do? Sneezes typically come on suddenly, and it's nearly impossible to rip the tape off your mouth "just in the nick of time". Anyone have experience with needing to sneeze with mouth tape already secured?

I agree. I measure 12 squares a night.

Coughing with Mouth Closed
Since I started mouth taping, I've had to learn how to cough with my mouth closed. Weird.
I haven't experience sneezing with my mouth closed yet.

Re: Mouth Tape?
I think you will find this silicon tape much gentler. Other tapes were too painful to take off, no problem with this. 1" by 5 yards is $9.99 on C&C. Not sure about other locations. If cost is a consideration for you, you should at least give the Cover All tape a try and see if it works for you. It'...

Re: Getting More Sleep Makes Me More Tired! Anyone Else?
I am not tired during the day (or sleepy). But I do get tired/sleepy earlier in the evening. Around 9-10pm I start feeling tired/sleepy. Which, like I said, I find weird since before I was able to stay up to 1am-2am every night without feeling tired at all. I'd have to force myself to go to bed at t...

Getting More Sleep Makes Me More Tired! Anyone Else?
Before CPAP I regularly went to bed around 1-2am, and regularly woke up around 6am-7am. Now that I have been using CPAP, I am a little more aware of my sleep habits, plus I tend to get tired earlier than I used to. Nowadays I sleep around 10-12pm (mostly right in the middle at 11pm) and I get up aro...

Re: How to Troubleshoot & Improve Leak Performance?
Quick OP update. I am still mouth taping and my leak problems have improved (and some nights, completely eliminated). I still have non-mouth related leaks from the mask cushion seal getting broken, but overall I am quite happy with the general leak performance day to day (or in this case, night to n...

Re: How many years does a mask last?
Oh, and regarding my mask straps, I typically use them for a year. After one year the straps have a tendency to stretch, and the Velcro doesn’t hold as well.

Re: How many years does a mask last?
I typically use my n20 nasal cushions for about 2-3 months, until I start blaming cushion age on my leak or comfort problems.
Funny thing is… the new replacement never ends up solving the problem or feeling any different.

Re: Can't use ResMed MyAir app, any suggestions
I've never bothered with the software / data side of things, but now I could really use a report on the data from my ResMed AirSense 10. Unfortunately neither of the two phones I have (Samsung Galaxy A5, Samsung Galaxy J3) is able to install the app. Any suggestions as to how to get reports (and pr...

Re: A question to those who have successfully mouthtaped
I successfully use the cover-roll tape without any issues. I use a chapstick generously before taping my mouth. I also purse my lips tightly (opposite of puckering) before applying the tape, so my lips are not touching the adhesive. In the morning, I slowly peel it off without any issues. I use the ...

Re: Take mask off in the middle of the night
Does anyone else have a problem with taking off your mask in the middle of the night? I usually wake up, think about going to the bathroom. Take off my mask and then fall asleep without getting up or putting my mask back on. Anyone else do this? If so what did you do about it? Thanks Does anyone el...

Re: Nasal Irrigation
AKA Nasal Enema! I started out using a standard neti pot, and it really made a huge difference. I am now (as others have mentioned) using the NeilMed Sinus Rinse. I have to admit that I have been "lazy" and am just using warm tap water. I'm not suggesting that anyone do the same, but that's what is ...
