update! eeep yay!
So as some of u know, and others don't care I've been having huge problems with my health. I'm not explaining it again as I should be asleep right now. I found out (pretty much by sheer dumb luck) that I probably am gluten-intolerant. I cut gluten out of my diet and within 3 days I felt a huge diffe...

new sleep lab?
Yes the bed sucked, it must have been -10F in there, the room where they did the wiring was NOT private...... But what made such a difference wasn't any of these things. It was the tech. When I came there I was scared. Sucidal. Nancy comforted me, told me they WOULD find out what was happening. She ...

good morning
Do I sound like a boy? I'm a girl. Sorry I didn't say! Many have suggested finding a good doc. How do I do that? I usually gat recomdations from friends or insurance. I don't know how else to do it? I have a smart card thing, but there's no way to afford a card reader. My medical bills are piling up...

to bonnie and anyone else really.
Well she kinda asked for my story, so here goes.... When I had just turned 17 I had plenty of energy. I was a competitive swimmer, I trained my own horse, got straight a's, and had a job as a lifeguard. Then it started. I started sleeping all day. Quit my job, quit riding and swimming. Started sleep...

thank you.
Reading ur post just made me so happy! I never knew anyone hated this like me. Osa has taken my entire life from me. I hate that I spent 5 years of my life(from the time I turned 17) being told I was "just fine" and to "diet and excercise" only to find out I have osa, and be totally compliant with t...

watching numbers?
Well, I can see how many nights i've slept with the cpap for more than 4 hours. That's it. If there is a way to know more (and the dme just left that part out) I'd love to do that! I sleep with the cpap for 8+ hours every night, I am still trying to get the sleep lab to send the titration study. So ...

hopeless
I can't record data (though I'd LOVE to!). I have to call the sleep lab tomorrow and complain (again) to get them to send the titration study over. Ack! But I'm sleeping soundly (no more waking up every hour or so), my shoulders and neck are sore cause I'm staying in 1 position all night! Except las...

hopeless?
So I got my cpap 5 weeks ago. I am only feeling worse and worse every day! I can't even read a friggin book because my focus is soooooo gone. In the 5.5-6 years that I KNOW I've had osa, I've seen 8 doctors (pre diagnosis) about how I feel exhausted. I kept being told "lets do some blood work" , I'd...

memory foam pillows?
For my birthday (which is today! I'm 22!) my mom is getting me a memory foam pillow (I'm currently borrowing my friend's pillow). I've found that it helps me keep my mask on pretty well leak free all night. Yay! Has anyone else found that? Just wondering. And my birthday is my 3 week cpap anniversar...

is it broken?
So, I have a remstar heated humidifier. When I push the button (to turn it on) the light goes on blah, then about 10-15 mon later, the light goes off. Is it broken? If I have to take it back to apria healthcare, should I take the whole thing in or JUST the humidifier? Ahhhhh! If it is screwed up, wh...

What career? Sleep apnea started when I was 17. I quit (miraculously graduated early) school cause I was sleeping 15ish hours a day, I didn't have the energy to get to and from school, much less stay awake while I was there. I lost job after job, wound up homeless at 18. When I dated someone, I had ...

I'm bipolar, but I wasn't treated or correctly diagnosed until this past year. In fact it was my psych. Nurse pract. That first told me that my excessive tiredness might actualy be something physical. She was the one who practically forced my doctor to refer me to the sleep clinic. I was treated for...

Before I knew that I had sleep apnea (and even now) I took responsibility for how my tiredness affects others. The judge seems to be completely uncaring. He doesn't really seem to care that his "snoozing" is seriously affecting other people! What evidence did he miss because he was sleeping? How man...

I'm 5'4" and 22 yrs old next week. Well, before I started with the sleep apnes, I weighed 150lbs and I had under 10% body fat. In fact my swimming coaches were encouraging me to gain a few (in fat). The sleep apnea hit, I started sleeping 12ish hours/day and gained 60lbs in about a year. Just pre-di...

3. Software helps us monitor how we are doing. Unfortunately, your machine will only show compliance. If you had a Remstar Pro 2, or a Remstar Auto, then you would get all the rest of the "important" data. Hey! I think I have a remstar pro 2. How do I find all of the "important" data? All I know is ...
