external power source for camping with CPAP
Does anyone use an external power source for their CPAP when they are camping? I am very confused reading recommendations on the net. So...what one do you use? Does it have to be designed for use with your particular CPAP? Once it is charged, do you just plug the CPAP into it, or does it need some s...

Dry eye and CPAP
I was having horrible dry eye. My eyes wanted to slam shut each afternoon. I switched from a MesRes naval cushion (the kind that doesn't go into the nose) to a Phillips one, and saw a warning that you shouldn't use it if you have dry eye! It's too late to return them, but I have an eye cover from a ...

Re: AirSense 11 "Extended Period" readout
Thanks, that video was very informative! It didn't cover the "extended period" readout, but I found, on looking at the readout again I had missed the line "12 month period." So it is an average over 12 months!

AirSense 11 "Extended Period" readout
In the My Sleep View readout on the AirSense 11, the first choice under Addition Info is "Extended Period."It gives the number of hours used, but the third item down is "Leak." That is very different from the number given under "Usage." For instance, Leak in Usage may be 7L/Min. while in Extended Pe...

Re: Hoarseness from CPAP?
I have been using a ResMed CPAP for 5 months with nasal pillows or cushions. For the past month, at least, I have found that often my voice is very husky or wispy, and just realized it could be because of the CPAP? Unfortunately, I just had a meeting with my sleep doctor, but didn't mention this as...

Re: ResMed headgear slipping off?
Thanks for the suggestion about the Dreamwear headgear with arms! I have ordered one. Meanwhile, while I wait for it to arrive I worked out a hack that is actually keeping the thing on my head all night! I attached a strip of elastic to the slots that hold the headgear, in such a way that the elasti...

Hack for ResMed N30i Headgear if it is too big
I had to fight for a month to get a small N30i frame...(My DME provider kept insisting the Standard frame was one-size-fits-all!) The problem was that the frame was waaaay too big and kept falling off. Well, finally I get the small frame, and it's better, but still too big. The headgear keeps drawin...

Re: ResMed headgear slipping off?
Thanks for the fleece suggestion...I did that with the "standard" size my DME insisted on giving me, and it worked, at least to keep the thing on for an hour or so. I got so I thought they should pay me, as I finally got them to realize that there was a small size! And finally, my doctor changed my ...

ResMed headgear slipping off?
I have been using a ResMed AirSense 11 with a N30i mask in a small frame for the past few days. Before this my provider would supply only the standard frame, and it kept falling off. Now I finally got the small frame, but it still falls off because the headgear slips on my hair. I have tried wrappin...
