>>> You can grab the old ones by the plastic connector pieces to avoid touching the adhesive. >>> I'll have to come up with new tricks for the Eclipses. >>> Also getting them off is harder with nothing to pull on. stuart has said the adhesive is pressure sensitive. Re: Bleep Eclipse at Aeroflow
Much to my surprise, another 3 month supply showed up Monday! Is there a manufactured date or lot number? Just curious if this is part of the new batch where the ring seperation is fixed. I got a 3-month supply of halos from Aeroflow back in January, but returned to dreamports when those were used ...

Re: Back Pain is.. Back! Really frustrated!
A different take. I saw an increase in my sciatica pain when I started cpap. Long story short, I wasn't moving around as much. Without cpap, I tossed-turned all night, it didn't matter what position I went to sleep in. With cpap, I spent long periods of time in one position. Once I figured that out,...

Re: Mask recommendations for belly sleep
Masks are very personal -- NO mask works for everyone under the same conditions (such as sleeping on your stomach). If you have the funds, I recommend trying an online store. Many have a generous return policy and/or return insurance that allow you to try it and send back if it doesn’t work out. If ...

Re: Teeth Grinding/Mouthguard With CPAP?
I don’t use a mouth guard, but I have experienced chipmunk cheeks. It’s never been a huge issue because I had positional apnea from the very beginning and have always used a chin strap or cervical collar. On the very few occasions when I have not worn one of those, it occurs when my jaw relaxes, but...

Re: Bleep Adhesive
I asked my wife about this (in-house medical consultant/MD). She said the key is “clean and dry”. Sometimes that means using anti-bacterial solutions prior, but in this application, it’s just clean and dry. No additional astringent is necessary. Side question: have you had any problems with the ring...

Re: Bleep Adhesive
Corgan: glad the cavilon wipes worked for you! I know several people who use it (for medical reasons other then bleeps). Tip: Sometimes the cavilon film builds up and/or is resistant to soap and water. If you experience this, it can be removed with isopropyl alcohol. I will be curious if insurance c...

Re: Bleep Adhesive
My 2¢ Cavilon wipes work great!!! BUT, they are almost a dollar a day (prices vary, but it’s pretty common to pay $20/25 wipes) Smith-nephew skin prep wipes didn’t work as well, but then I read somewhere, that some people had better luck with 2 “coats”. 15-20 minutes before bed when I’m reading or w...

Re: Bleep Eclipse...so far
Wasn't sure if I should start a new thread, but this seemed to fit. Started using eclipse 5 days ago. Every night, I have had adhesive failure between metal rings and pad -- ring pulls away, causing huge leak (Adhesive is secure between pad and nose). Never had this problem with dreamports. I have m...

Re: bleep changed?
I think the January delay is for new orders(??). I paid through PayPal, so it may be different if you paid differently, but I rec'd a PayPal notice the first part of December with a UPS tracking number. When I looked the number up, status was "pending" in the system, but at least I knew my order was...

Re: bleep changed?
UPS says mine will arrive next week too. Do the beta testers have any tips / pitfalls to be aware of on switching to halos from dreamports? Any change (even good ones), usually bring some challenges. I'm used to holding onto / applying, using the plastic port. I even peer down the barrel in the mirr...

Re: How to add medical professional access to my Resmed data?
I’m very curious if you have better luck with resmed than I did. I never called, but emailed them several times, some years ago with this question, and I never got anything back but canned responses about contacting my dme and data integrity. I've purchased my last 2 machines out-of-pocket, online, ...

Re: Aeroflow regrets
IMO, As dme's go, they're above average, but FAR from perfect!! They haven't lied to me, but their communication sucks, often taking 3-5 emails and/or 1 or more phone calls (long hold times!!) to get answers to questions. I was in that same website loop until they rec'd insurance verification, and s...

Re: Best Practice for Washing and Drying CPAP Hose/Tube
I went through the follow-the-rules cleaning phase when I started cpap years ago. I always dried my hose by gripping in the middle and swinging it around ;-) According to my DME (and the resmed climateline manual), clean weekly. DME also says to replace every 6 months. I think that phase lasted 3-4 ...

Re: Keeping Bleeps on the nose
I’ve been using bleeps for almost 2 years now, but I went through something similar. LOVED bleeps in theory, but wrestled with leaks for months!! I could go through all the different things I tried, but cutting to the chase, as they say, here’s what ultimately made the difference for me: Putting “tw...
