Re: Trying to understand OSCAR

Dog Slobber, in your other thread .. https://www.cpaptalk.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=184175&p=1409639#p1409639 gave you an excellent idea to try. Did you ever try it? I don't know if anything will show on the flow rate but it's about the best chance. You would need to be able to evaluate the breathing...

Re: Trying to understand OSCAR

this is why it's important to stay in one thread, particularly if you are new. not saying you can't post in other threads, but when it's about your therapy and you are brand new, it's easier to keep track if it's all in one place. NOT a demand; merely a suggestion. Yes, thank you for the reminder, ...

Re: Trying to understand OSCAR

Thanks for the response Pugsy, yes I tried that suggestion last night. It happened a couple of times. I first took the suggestion of someone else and set my min to 15 and EPR to 2, but I felt like that made it worse. I hit stop on the machine, and tried lowering my min to 14 (which is up from 13 fro...

Trying to understand OSCAR

Could use some feedback. I've posted before about not being sure if I'm experiencing hypnic jerks or some other neurological disorder, or if its something with my machine or settings. Just at the point of sleep something happens and I'm wide awake. I've described it as a sudden jolt before but also ...

Something wrong with my settings or Hypnic Jerk?

For the past year (I can't remember if started before or after I got my AirSense 10 after the Phillips Recall) I've had the sensation just when falling asleep, sometimes its like a jolt, sometimes it's more like a twitch and other times its like I stop breathing gasping for breath. Its not every nig...

Re: Longtime CPAP user, feeling back at square 1

I'm looking at my results from last night and perplexed why when they gave me the AirSense 10 my range was 4 - 14. Now that I've set it 13 - 20, if I'm reading it right, it really looks like I'm benefiting from the 13 - 20 range. Am I reading that right? When my pressure was set at 13 8 years ago on...

Re: Longtime CPAP user, feeling back at square 1

myair is a "here's your trophy, look YOU PARTICIPATED!" thing, it's better than nothing, but useless when figuring out how to improve. Yeah exactly, at least if the AHI score was 0 I'd know something was up. When I first got the airsense last year, I forget what the autoset was set to, I want to sa...

Re: Longtime CPAP user, feeling back at square 1

Thank you! I tried including the photo but when I try I get a 'sorry, board attachment quota has been reached'. File size is 513 KB. Let me see if this works. https://i.ibb.co/zSfNGDc/OSCAR-3-27-22.jpg I'd suggest using imgur next time, imgbb doesn't work as well, and *do not* shrink the images, th...

Longtime CPAP user, feeling back at square 1

I'm looking for help, I've been using CPAP therapy since August 2013. My first machine was a Phillips Respironics Remstar Pro C-Flex + System One. My set pressure was 13 (Full facemask). I used the machine every day for 8 years, there were a couple of times there were power outages in those 8 years ...
