Thanks much, that explanation makes sense.
So nice to find someone that is helpful.
Merry Christmas
You are entirely welcome.
Have you tried the F20 Airtouch mask?
I found it very comfortable AND cut my leaks in half over the F20 Airfit.
Sleep well and a Merry Christmas to you!

My understanding is that even a properly fitting mask would cause carbon monoxide rebreathing without the vent holes. It's not about the mask getting dislodged.
Onward60 misspoke, means dioxide not monoxide.

Re: Flow limitations and large leaks

It is logical that the measurement reliability would become less reliable in the face of wide and wild swings of the quantity being measured. It is equally logical that a measurement becomes less reliable when the quantity being measured is significantly removed from the normal range of the sensors....

Data is written to the SD card when the machine is turned off at the on/off switch (so I’m told).
Turning the machine off by interrupting the mains, would cause data to NOT be written to the card.

Just a question:
As a truck driver, do you have to prove to someone that you are using CPAP to maintain your driving credentials?
Just asking.

The technology (emitted wavelength of the blood) should be the same in either ring. However purchase from Wellue gives you the opportunity to return if your dissatisfied. Otherwise contact Wellue customer support

Re: AIRVIEW & MyAir communications

From the Resmed Airsense 11 clinical manual:

Confirms that without access to SD card, breath-to-breath data like we see in Oscar's Flow rate curves, doctor can't view.

Re: When 95/90% leak numbers don't tell all the story

The Statistics page is very useful to see what your average values over time are. So if you want to know how your leaks or events have increased, decreased, or stayed the same over time, the Stats page is where to go. If you want to fiddle with the leak threshold, that is the page that displays tho...

Re: When 95/90% leak numbers don't tell all the story

Don't know what to tell you but mine doesn't change. You can see for yourself. Did you look at the Stats page, that’s where I’m seeing a change? I tried this with a couple of different profiles using Oscar 1.5.1 with the same result, the value on the Daily page does not change when the Oscar prefer...

Re: When 95/90% leak numbers don't tell all the story

Changing the red line placement visually doesn't affect % of time above the 24 L/min threshold. Here's what I'm seeing (for example): With the preferences (for leak flag) set for 24 l/min the "Large Leak on the daily page" is 9.66 % and the "% time over leak rate threshold on the statics page" is 9...

Re: When 95/90% leak numbers don't tell all the story

It's not like things go totally down the toilet if someone hits 25 or 29 L/min...it's a progressive thing...the further you go into large leak territory the iffier things get. I agree with you that it definitely progressive, as the leak value value increases above 25 the algorithms are increasing l...

Re: When 95/90% leak numbers don't tell all the story

Pugsy, I always look at the large leak percentage in the left column. When you say," in the left hand column" Do you mean this (circled in red)? https://i.imgur.com/hFcVUg3.jpg That number, in this case 26.97, is the percent of time that leaks were detected over the acceptable limit. Leaks above th...

Evaluating Mask by Leak Stats

I'm evaluating the Resmed F20 versus the F-P 432 mask. So i've been using the FP 432 for many months, and lately tried the F20. I am particularily interested in the leak performance of each mask when used on my face. YMMV Here are the OSCAR results after 7 days with the F20 mask: https://i.imgur.com...

Re: When 95/90% leak numbers don't tell all the story

Read the citation, but what it doesn't tell me is how many individual observations (of leak rate) are used to calculate this "average". Just as an example (for resmed) , say a sleep session is exactly two hours long. How many leak rate values are summed? Is it 7200 (which would represent one leak r...
