Re: Most comfortable full face mask?

I recently switched from a nasal cushion to the ResMed AirFit F20, which has been pretty comfortable to me.

PS - the 90% pressure is for anything UP to it, not fixed at 90.
Exactly! I just thought it was interesting that more pressure was needed to be delivered with a full face mask vs just the nose cushion. Sort of just makes me think I have needed more from the start.

Re: 1st Week CPAP Use Thoughts/Concerns/Questions

Just wanted to share an update here... For the last month I have been using my CPAP machine. First week or so... I felt like I was waking up feeling pretty good. About a few weeks or so ago... it felt as if I was waking up just as tired as not using it... despite my AHI showing pretty good numbers. ...

Re: ISO The Best APAP, Quiet and Light Weight, Please Advise!

I have recently received an APAP machine and have been using the therapy for a little over a week now. I received a Resvent iBreeze. I believe it is a pretty recent machine as far as it being made. I do not see many people who have it. However, it is very quiet. I just traveled with it this weekend ...

Re: 1st Week CPAP Use Thoughts/Concerns/Questions

Yeah those patience pills are rough. They are huge, taste terrible and covered in barbs. Don't have much choice though so grin and bear it. Keep telling yourself that a week is such a short time to really expect much of anything. Even a month is considered a short time. If you broke your arm ...

Re: New user having hard time getting used to machine.

As others have stated.... the more information you can give us the better. Machine used, mask type/brand... settings... etc. I have been using a nose mask for about a week. I am new to this whole CPAP thing so. I understand to a degree your concern. Still trying to learn my way.... but everybody her...

Re: 1st Week CPAP Use Thoughts/Concerns/Questions

Definitely hard to take a patience pill and try and let the process run naturally. I will continue to work to finding the best info/advice possible while also letting myself get used to it too. The mind certainly is a powerful thing but... I appreciate you taking the time to share your wisdom and ex...

Re: 1st Week CPAP Use Thoughts/Concerns/Questions

Oh, the reason I asked where you live is because I might not be far from you and if push comes to shove and you are really close to me and you can't get helpful data from your current machine then maybe I could loan you my spare just to get good data to evaluate deeply. In regards to the BP meds......

Re: 1st Week CPAP Use Thoughts/Concerns/Questions

I am still waking up throughout the night, however in general I feel like maybe not as much? With the exception of last night which I felt was like every hour... Sort of expected to start feeling like WAY better and be ready to run a marathon. Which again, I do think I feel a bit better but... mayb...

1st Week CPAP Use Thoughts/Concerns/Questions

Hey Yall, I posted once with some of this info before but I wanted to start a weekly-ish check in for my CPAP therapy to discuss my thoughts, concerns, and questions in hopes others maybe have some insight or help others with different things. Found out I have Moderate OSA a few months ago, and I re...

Re: New CPAP/APAP user... questions/guidance plz?

Thanks yall for the response. Sucks to hear about OSCAR not working but thank you for the other link. I don't really know if my snoring has stopped because I live alone. However my mouth hasn't been dry when I wake up. Yes, I am in the USA(midwest). Last night when I used my machine it recorded a .6...

You're off to a great start! Could you tell us the make and model of your machine? We might be able to tell you how to get more information about what's going on during the night.
Certainly... I believe it is the Resvent iBreeze APAP machine, and I am using a ResMed AirFit N30i Nasal Mask !

Re: New CPAP/APAP user... questions/guidance plz?

Many of us develop a habit of mouth breathing before cpap. In many cases, it decreases or disappears with treatment. Full face masks are often favored by the dealers. Because---$. The best mask for anyone is the one that feels/works the best. Every face is different--unless you are an identical twi...

New CPAP/APAP user... questions/guidance plz?

Hey Yall, I just recently got diagnosed with Moderate Sleep Apnea after originally dealing with some High Blood Pressure issues. I did an at home sleep study, and it came back to me having 27.3AHI. So, I received my machine(I believe it is an APAP machine) and a nose mask to go along with it. I just...
