I gave up on the nasal pillows. It was destroying my throat and it wasn’t helping with the dry eye issue. Investigation is ongoing at this time, but thank you!

Re: Mouth Breathing solution?
I have less FES and more dry eye than anything else. I can’t keep them open very long. I think it has to do with CPAP therapy in general. I’m going to start sleeping 4-5 hrs with CPAP and see if anything gets better. But thank you!

Re: Mouth Breathing solution?
This is just my life. Yep. I too have floppy eyelid syndrome. I fought with eye issues for two years, with the doc giving me multiple treatments including eyedrops made from my own blood. It went away five days after I started CPAP because I could no longer sleep on my stomach. It stinks. Stomach s...

Re: Severe dry eyes?

Re: Severe dry eyes?
SO-my doctor says this is a little known side effect of CPAP therapy. Spread the word, get some eyeseals or eyeeco clear or black gel goggles. LOTS of people who use CPAP have floppy eyelids now! Your doctor is FOS (badly mistaken). If anything, CPAP will prevent sloppy eyes. The moron may be confu...

Maybe I misspoke. She says this is common of people being treated with CPAP therapy.

Re: Mouth Breathing solution?
I wouldn’t quite say my therapy is lost due to air leaking through my mouth, but the ahi is higher on nights there is a lot of leakage. I’m thinking of using the somnifix tape, but I am so incredibly frustrated with my setup. I use the nasal pillows, the chin strap to keep my mouth closed, eye goggl...

Re: Severe dry eyes?
I’m so sorry! I thought I had notifications set up via email and have gotten none so far! I assumed no one saw my post or I sucked at posting. The diagnosis is floppy eyelid syndrome. It is related to starting CPAP treatment and the amount of weight I’ve lost. Almost 65 lbs so far. Apparently my eye...

Re: Severe dry eyes?
Thank you very much. It has to be the CPAP therapy. But honestly, I don’t know how the pillows are hurting my eyes like that!
