Re: Is ResMed AHI Reporting always correct?

So is the ResMed ALWAYS correct??? I don't think anything is 100% always right. There's always going to be a percent one way or the other for variances. No machine is ever going to be 100% perfect. Even when compared to in lab attended sleep studies there was a very small difference between human s...

Is ResMed AHI Reporting always correct?

Hi Guys: I have been getting very good AHI averages from my current settings recently, 0.20 for the week. However when looking into OSCAR it does seem ResMed is not detecting all the Hypopneas. I am sure it is a programing thing which is very strict as opposed to subjective by a human. See below. Th...

Re: Dreamwear Stretch or Loosen for you?

The boil and baking soda experiment was most recently tried here in this thread https://www.cpaptalk.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=182734&p=1392631&hilit=baking+soda#p1392631 based off the years ago experiment shown here in this thread https://www.cpaptalk.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=74686&st=0&sk=t&sd=a&hil...

Re: Dreamwear Stretch or Loosen for you?

Yes, my strap stretched as well. I solved it by cutting a second slot on each of the plastic arms. FYI: I use the DreamWear with Arms on the ResMed P30i frame. About the frame darkening, mine has as well, not a problem. Thanks Dog Slobber. The Res Med P30i is such a close copy even the straps are i...

Dreamwear Stretch or Loosen for you?

Hi Guys: I have to buy everything out of pocket (even with insurance it is cheaper to buy on Amazon) so I try to make everything last. I have been using the Dreamwear Silicone Nasal Pillows mask for a couple months now. It seems lately every 3 days or so I have to tighten the straps slightly as they...

Re: Anyone Sleep Through Power Outage

Thanks Guys for the many perspectives. I was debating getting a backup battery, they are not cheap for the number of watt hours you need. Most of the time power outages are just for a few minutes or hours. However last year we did have a 48 hour outage which cost us some food. Wondering if money is ...

Anyone Sleep Through Power Outage

Hi Guys: You long timers must have dealt with power outages in the past. How long does it normally take to wake you up? This morning I just noticed my clocks were blinking meaning we lost power. After looking at Oscar I saw it was a tiny 1 minute and 20 second outage. I never woke up, like it did no...

Re: Most comfortable full face mask?

Has anyone found that Full Face Masks straps "ALL" push your jaw bone back? That is what bothered me the most. It caused me pain in my ears and lower jaw. After I moved to Nasal masks or pillows the pain went away. Does anyone know of Full Face Masks that do not put pressure on your chin pushing yo...

Do People Turn off the Humidifier in the Summer?

Was reading a different thread, the one about ensuring your wine is kept at a proper temperature but not the missus, and made me want to ask if it is normal to turn off your humidifier in the summer? This is my first summer, I started in January, and the humidifier and heated hose kept me quite warm...

Re: New to CPAP: Which DME for supplies / typical replacement schedule / comfort tips?

I will only add that for some reason when it comes to CPAP supplies it is cheaper to buy the parts than the entire item. I am using the Dreamware Silicone Nasal Pillows. I tried a lot and found them to be the most comfortable over all. I wanted to get backups of everything so if / when they wear out...

It's not for drinking. Drinking it on a regular basis could cause a health problem because it doesn't contain minerals (magnesium, calcium, potassium, sodium) the body needs.
So is distilled water not for drinking either since it does not have any minerals in it?

New hoses are cheap!
You know I just got a Climate Line Air Heated Tube on Amazon last week for $24. Wanted to send link but price is up to $41 now. Glad I got a backup when I did. I have two cats but so far they have had no interest in it.

Re: Resmed Air Sense vs the SoClean Machine

I guess the most concerning question is, what makes you think you need a "cleaning" device like this? To be fair, when you're new to this stuff it seems like a reasonable, clever way to keep your equipment clean. They have really good marketing. I originally thought So-Clean actually "CLEANED" your...
