Traveling with My BIPAP (author unknown) (Airport Security) |
---|
TSA is a real pain in some areas and a real blessing in others. I gave up the bag my Respironics M series came in and swithched to a nice little knapsack which carries my medical equipment as well as numerous other personals. As long as your medical equipment is the primary load in the backpak you're good to go. This makes the carry through the airport a bit easier as well as I travel with a king size briefcase and a large garment bag with three to four suits. Recent addition of a Hepa Filter has all but eliminated sinus infections but the reduced airflow forced me to hack into the machine and add pressure so during the ramp time I did not feel as if I was struggling for air. As I travel all over the country each week the flanel hose cover has become invaluable as the moisture buildup in the tube has been reduced to almost nothing. Cuddling with it helps as well and let's face it, when away from family and loved ones a soft cuddly thing ain't bad even if it is a covered hose !!! Hope the rest of you travel well with your little machines... BIPAP Auto M series Fischer Paykel heated humidifier (THE M SERIES HUMIDIFIER TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY) Nasal Pillows What else could there be... |
