Travel - should I take my humidifier

Hi,

I am traveling to a costal area where the humidity is 60-80%. I suspect the hotel will reduce the ambient humidity. I am I use my PRS1 on 2 and go through a full res every three days. I am leaning towards leaving it keep from going over my carry-on count. Thoughts?

You won't know until you try it... your 60 series with the humidifier fits nicely in its travel bag and is not counted towards your carry on luggage as it is medical.
In my opinion I would take it just in case.... you never know if you need it or not until you have tried it

I wouldn't assume the hotel would reduce the humidity, but would definitely ask them about it. If I was going for a long wknd I wouldn't bother with my tank, but then again I also live not far from the ocean (if in the definite north) and only feel the need of any added humidity for a short time in winter anyway... and sometimes don't even bother then.

We were in the central Pacific. I used my humidifier each night but rarely had to add any water. I probably could have gotten along fine without it. Here in the Northern Rockies I use it all the time.

I travel a lot and stopped taking the humidifer after forgetting to empty the tank and fried my cpap. I really don't notice the differince. Without it I can easily fit my mask and notebook in the cpap bag.

I never travel without my humidifier, and the only time I use my Intellipap without the humidifier
is if I want to sleep in the car hooked up to the lighter or battery pack. (Rest stop means "rest"!)

Your CPAP is not counted in your

carry on. Seriously - it's a medical device, so is 'free'.
