Use a good skin oil around the area of the stitches, might not help with the twitching. You could use a zinc type sun blocker if you like zinc.

Glad you got the stitches out, Zinc & Vitamin C can help with healing.
Good idea. I'll have to get one of those. For now, I'm just not climbing anything.

So good to see you posting again. I had wondered recently about you and how you are doing.
You know when you don't post for a long time, people may think the worst. There are many of the old timers we never hear from again. My hopes and prayers are that they are getting great therapy and do not need the support of this forum. Hopefully they are out in the "real world" encouraging people to use their CPAP and sleep better.

Sorry you had a tumble, with a gash like that I wonder what the ladder looks like now. Hope you heal fast and the RLS symptoms abate.
Hugs to you gal.

Hi, Karen, and thanks. You're right about people disappearing from the forum and those still here wondering if they're okay. For me, it was just life moving along (shitty as that was for me last year) and my therapy was going well (whenever I didn't have another medical issue messing with my sleep), so I was just dealing with "stuff." Hope nobody worried on my behalf, and I'm sorry if anyone did.

The zingers hit me every 60-90 minutes last night. Frustrating to keep being awakened when you've just fallen asleep again. It's kind of like the skin on my leg is crawling, and I can't keep still. Thanks for the good wishes.

Thanks, purp. I'm not using anything but Bacitracin, and only when I cover the wound for the night with a Telfa pad. It's still weeping (clear fluid), and I hope that stops soon, too. *sigh* I'll consider my options when it's finally dry.
Veni, vidi, Velcro. I came, I saw, I stuck around.
