Has anybody had any positive results with acupuncture for sleep apnea?

Hi, I have had acupuncture for a few things, pain in shoulder/neck, knees and TMJ all successful, but not for Sleep Apnea, my Chiro knows I have apnea and he has never suggested it to be something Acupuncture could help.

Have you tried it and are you going to check on it , I would be curious to see if it works, and why not? Ummm, you may be on to something here, never know.

Keep us posted, and keep those wheels turning.

I have tried accupuncture for various ailments. Never sleep apnea. I can see how being stuck with many fine needles would cause you to breathe deeply. LOL

Hey Wavery,

If the accupucturist puts enough tiny holes in your neck it may allow the air to get in during an apnea.

I started going to acupuncture to help my sleepiness, (my apnea was undiagnosed at that stage, I just thought I needed more energy).

I have found it to be very beneficial in everything but the sleep apnea. I am less anxious, my stomach does not hate me as much as it used to and I really enjoy the me time.

Pity it does not help the apnea though...
