Encore error reading SD card

Post by sawinglogz » Thu May 16, 2013 4:06 am

(Starting a new thread as Pugsy suggested.)

EncoreBasic keeps saying:
Media read successfully - The card data is not valid and was not saved. Contact Product Support for assistance.
Has anybody resolved this problem or figured out what causes it?

Is it because I write-locked the SD card before inserting it into my computer (combined with the fact that it's not yet assigned to any patient)?

When I inserted the card back into the PR S1 (unlocked), the screen showed SD card activity for a few seconds. Then I waited, ejected the card (at which point the screen told me the card was removed) and tried again. Same result.

The data does seem small: 390K for a night's worth of data?

SleepyHead seems to think all the sessions are 23 minutes and 45 seconds, but that might be unrelated, since after importing a full night of Zeo data, it looks like the last session does contain the entire night's ASV readings. The SleepyHead session length glitch might just be part of SleepyHead's unhappiness with Series 60 and ASV. (And, yes, I'm using the latest patch.)

File size is probably correct as far as the actual data files in the P0 folder. Mine are even smaller.
Do you see 3 file types...xxx.001 xxx.002 and xxx.005?
These are what is normally seen in the P0 folder that are the actual data files.
Your 950 machine should have something similar.

Have you tried to assign the SD card to see if that fixes the problem?

Do you have a blank/new SD card that you could try? Insert it into the PR S1 machine and let it write the data to the new SD card and then see if Basic still wants to pitch a fit?

All my earlier theories
It turns out you can find more information if you look in C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\Respironics\Encore Pro 2\elog.txt (for Encore Pro) or C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\Respironics\EncoreBasic\eblog.txt (for Encore Basic):
[ERROR] Encore.MediaController.SDReader Could not find Product type. Product Type is : 0x4a
[ERROR] Encore.MediaController.SDReader Could not map productType to device Series.
It looks like neither Encore Pro 2.11.6.0 (June 28, 2012) nor Encore Basic 2.2.2.0 (July 16, 2012) is new enough. And the latest SleepyHead patch has problems with it too! So I guess there's a newer (v2?) Series 60 as of March 15, 2013 that isn't supported by any of the available software.

I sure hope there will be a compatible version of Encore soon!

For those following this thread, the idea sadly didn't pan out. Last year's versions of Encore won't work with my new 960.
