What should I ask when I get my CPAP delivered?

Post by oneantonee » Sun Apr 16, 2006 9:23 pm

Hello everyone,

I first want to thank everyone who has welcomed me here. Thanks to all the informed and helpful responses I received to my previous posts, I made what I feel is a good decision about the machine I'm getting. It is supposed to be delivered on Tuesday afternoon.

I'm getting a Remstar AUTO with C-Flex and the Mirage Ultra FFM. Is there anything I should make sure is covered by the RT while he is here? I have a basic understanding of how these work, so it would be questions about using it. What questions should I ask the RT?

Thanks for your help,

Antonio

Ask if you insurance requires you to bring in the datacard to prove you are really using the machine regularly. How often?

Ask how often your insurance will pay for replacement masks, filters, hoses.

Ask if you can have a few spare filters.

Ask them how soon they can leave, so you can take a nap to test-drive your unit!

If they haven't answered this yet, ask them how long you will be paying a co-pay!

Make sure they leave the matching heated humidifier.
