Try again. Sometimes the card "backs out" by mistake. Your machine will still have almost all of the graphs stored on the machine and it will write the data to the SD card. Watch the LCD screen when you put the SD card in.
The only data that you will lose is the fuzzy black line on the Flow graph. That data is not stored on the machine.
The blank line in the middle points to the machine being turned off most likely. I could see part of your leak line graph and it doesn't appear that leaks were massive enough to account for the large blank spot. Maybe you got up briefly??? around the 5:30 mark?

You don't need the AHI graph and it is preventing the leak graph from showing up.
You can turn off the AHI graph in SH...go to File (top left) click on it and then Preferences...then graphs and remove the check mark for AHI graph.

What you show on this report really looks pretty darn good. The first 2 little clusters of Clear Airway events I bet you were awake during those. I see the 2 ramp pressures so I know you hit ramp button a couple of times.
The machine doesn't know if you are awake or not and sometimes it will flag an awake breathing irregularity as some sort of event. We often will hold our breath briefly while awake and don't realize it. Hold your breath for 10 seconds and that is a Clear Airway cessation of breathing and the machine will flag it. Not a big deal. We all do it every now and then and don't realize it.

When you do your screen shot of your report try to include the numbers on the left side....AHI and the breakdown either in one image or as a second image.

All in all your report that you show really looks quite decent. Nothing there just screaming out "fix me".
Your mention of pain is troublesome....where is the pain? Is this something new for you? Is it maybe from staying in one position too long in bed?
Sleeping with all this stuff on our face is an adjustment. Let's face it ....it just isn't natural and some people have more trouble than others. The brain hasn't learned yet that this "stuff" is supposed to be there and we often wake up just because the brain is still trying to alert us to the "stuff" on our face. This normally will abate with time.

Thanks, Pugsy. I think you're right, I was probably in one position too long. Pain yes, but joints, and specific ones, not "everything hurts". I guess I was so deeply asleep I didn't move.

So far I haven't had joy with the SD card - two more nights and it still says no data.

The mask/breathing business is much better; I am staying calm and in control and ignoring its bad manners in not letting me have a full breath from time to time. At least it is not performing all the torture it tried the first few nights.

I've found the details of the mask - I think - Opus 3 or 300, bit hard to tell. It was still wet after being washed so I put it outside to dry and bits came unstuck. What a puzzle it was to get it together again - I didn't think I would. Not a skerrick of information or diagrams about the thing, and nothing to say which way the nosepiece should go. If there are any identifying marks, there is nothing to say what they are or which way the should go.

Oh well.

I'll put the SD card back in the machine and hope it picks up some information from somewhere.

I also have to consider that I may not be accessing it correctly. I tried more than once and got scary messages about overwriting data and do I really want to do this. I backed out. The first time I just got a twirly cube saying no data.

Actually when I put the card back in I looked at the screen, and it said, "Data Authority. Do Not Remove Card".
Too late.
Hmm.

I think that "do not remove" pertains to while the machine is communicating with the SD card. Once that message leaves it is safe to remove the card.

Please put your equipment listing into your profile so we don't have to keep searching the thread for the info.

There's a link in my signature line on how to do this.

Sorry and thanks, Archangle. I'm taking this machine back tomorrow, and hope never to see it again. When I get fixed up with another, I'll have another go at entering the equipment data and downloading the records. I don't know what I'm doing or have done wrong, but I'll have another attempt at downloading the info via sleepyhead in the morning before going for my appointment.

My GP is sending me for a stress echo test; I don't know yet when that appointment will be. I'm not due to see the sleep specialist until the 21st of this month.
I guess the answer to my original question is that it was the settings on the original machine that gave the unpleasant out-of-control feeling. I know the business part-owner I saw lowered the pressure on this replacement machine, my son says to 6 when he looked at what little data I had.

So I will thank you all very, very much for your reassuring input and support, and leave Puff 'n' Suck here, and when I get my next machine will try to get to master it quicker and track it better, get my screen shots, enter my machine and mask details where they are supposed to go, and start a new thread and hopefully a new life.

I seem to have been sleeping all night but don't feel really better yet. My joints all over hurt like billy-o. Maybe I am not exercising them enough during the night with wakeful periods! The central apnoea diagnosis has shaken me, but it does explain how I've been for most of my life.

Thanks again.
Over and out for now.

Happy to report that I was given a ResMed to try today and I can have it until I see the specialist. ResMed S9. The results I couldn't find with SleepyHead were safely retrieved and seemed to indicate that the first Respironics machine I had treated me better than the second one. Apparently the first one was Auto, and the second one wasn't. Anyhow, I was happy to be loaned the ResMed, and the consultant admitted that she liked the ResMed better. She will email me a copy of the report when she sends it to the specialist. I'm very impressed with the ResMed with its readouts and all. I'm off to give it an all-night trial now. I'll report back later under a new thread.
