cpap strap help

Post by lloydjason » Fri Nov 16, 2012 11:36 am

Hello everyone! It's been awhile since I was last on here, and of course I'm back due to an "ISSUE". Past week I've developed red marks on either side of my forehead above my temples. At first I thought I was having an allergic reaction to something or shingles. Then I noticed that it lines up with the upper straps on my full face mask. I've loosen the straps, but if I loosen it any more I get leaks. Not sure why this is an issue now, but it's driving me crazy. I've checked online, and the pads that I've seen all cover the bottom straps. Curious if anyone has recommendations for the top forehead straps.

Thank you for your help!

Try my setup with traditional nasal mask and chinstrap. The mask's straps go over the chinstrap and are lose. No leaks.

If you fill in your equipment, including mask, we may be able to address your problem specifically.
Pad-a-Cheek may have a strap cozy that will fit your headgear.
An immediate solution might be to cut the toes out of a pair of soft (maybe plush) baby socks, and thread the straps through.
