3 Months in and a question

Post by Ronnyuk » Fri Oct 19, 2012 2:18 pm

Hi all, been on my Apap machine now for about 3 months and it's totally cured my sleep apnea, but I have a couple of questions for you experienced hose heads

I just come back from a 2 week holiday to Majorca, now usually my pressure is 11 but for the whole 2 weeks my pressure went up to 16, anyone else notice when going to a hot country that your pressure goes up? I was at sea level too so no high alltitudes involved just 30c temps and hot sweaty nights.
Next is an observation that I wondered if anyone else has noticed, since using the machine my skin in the morning feels greasy, especially my hands they feel like they are leaking grease haha, anyone else notice this or is it just me?

Otherwise everything is great, my o2 levels are now 95%+ every night after normally dropping to around 75%.

Did you use different pillows? I have been on one short trip since starting CPAP treatment in early August. One of those two nights my pressure was significantly higher than it is at home. Only thing I could think of was that the pillows were different, and maybe I spent a lot of time on my back, instead of sleeping on my side as I do at home.

Perhaps combined with being extra exhausted, or maybe a little extra drunk

Could have been either in my case.
