Sleep Study is done...

Post by Mike Grasso » Mon Aug 27, 2012 6:31 pm

Hey All,

Sleep Study is done, the Cpap is prescribed and I pick it up next week. The DME is allowing me to trade up to a ResMed S9 Autoset from a standard S9 without a charge.
The Mask, tubes and all else will be dealt with when I go in.

Went thru the Sleep Study paperwork after reading a lot here, thanks for all the info! It made me feel a lot more competent in my reading.

I did not know just how bad a nights sleep I was getting, and then how much better it could be.

I read about some of the people who had been SCUBA diving for years being able to deal with the mask a bit better, it's been over 30 for me, maybe that's why the mask didn't phase me.

Again, thanks for the guidance on my last post.

Mike

Congratulations, Mike. We're glad to hear that things are going smoothly for you. At least so far and w/anticipation it will continue to do so.

Good Luck! I'm on day 25 with the blower. Some days are better than others. Most are pretty good. Take some notes for yourself the first month when you wake up in the morning.

I find the notes section in Sleepyhead is good for keeping track of how I felt, or when I got a new mask, or changed settings, or if I had sleeping issues.

Now, I just wish there was a way to dump out a diary type output with your weight, AHI, hours of sleep and the notes field, without any graphs.
