A little half hearted here
My wife says I was "snoring" this morning, just after the cat was pawing at the door, and the dog decided to dig a new bed in the blankets and settle down.
She said it was not a normal throat based snore, it was more of a horse type lips flapping in the breeze snore......
Any recommendation on how to stop this leak, other then taping my lips shut?????

I would be looking at the software reports to see just how much of a problem the lips flapping might or might not be causing.
Since it didn't wake you up it may not be as pronounced as it first seems to be and might even have been just a fluke.
Look at the leak line reports and/or numbers during that time frame to see if things look bad or not and look at the events graph to see if any events were present during a time of "snores" that might indicate less than optimal pressure.

Wilson,
I wear a chin strap with my nasal pillow. I keep my tongue on the roof of my mouth behind my front teeth while I fall asleep. I constantly try to "encourage" my unconscious brain to leave it alone. Consequently, I have made it through 1 night and a couple half nights without my chin strap and no mouth leaks, chipmonk cheeks or musical lips . It's all education
Hope it helps,

I had another thread on getting rid of a spike, so see how bad the leak was...... I can see the flapping the line goes up, and bounces fro a little, then goes back down..... the leak rate was between 4 and 8..... not to bad.
Re: lips flapping in the wind...... other than tape
Spikes I toss out the window and they don't even get a second look. If I don't spend any time there I don't worry about it.
If I don't spend much time in large leak territory I don't worry about it. If I push the line close for an hour or so to large leak territory and it doesn't wake me up...I don't worry about it.
The machines can compensate for quite a bit of leak (wherever it comes from) and as long as it doesn't disturb my sleep then I just trust the machine to do its job.
Lately I have been seeing some larger than normal (for me) leaks but they rarely reached large leak territory. I have a strong suspicion that I am on my back with my mouth open sometimes. It is very rare that I go past 24 L/min for anything longer than 5 minutes. In fact it is relatively rare that I hit 24 L/min. Since I sleep right through it and I feel fine...is it worth me trying to get a perfect straight leak line and going back to taping my mouth? Nope.
Different response if the leaks or lip flutters or mouth open dryness woke me up or I saw a marked change in how I felt during the day or if I felt my sleep was crappy.
I have had nights with a perfectly straight leak line...and nights were it was really rather ugly but I feel no difference one way or the other. If it ain't broke pretty bad I don't try to fix it.
