SleepyHead Import Problem

Post by perrennial » Sat Jun 16, 2012 7:23 pm

I thought I had read something on this before but am unable to locate it now.

I have been using and importing my stats daily into both software programs with no problem until this morning. I imported into ResScan as per usual with no problem. Nothing happens when I tried to import into SleepyHead. This is the first time I have experienced this sort of problem. I have been using both software programs since April 18th of this year.

Any suggestions?

Pamela

Sometimes it forgets where it needs to go to import.
Instead of clicking on the "Usual location" click on create a new location and go to the drive letter where the SD sits.
Most of the time this is all that is needed. Seems like sometimes the software forgets where it needs to go.
Be sure to stop at the drive letter and don't go to the folder.
If this doesn't work...I don't know what the problem might be.

I've had one case in which SleepyHead would not read the SD card, but I could copy its contents into my computer. SleepyHead imported the copy successfully.

1. double check the card to make sure it wasn't erased.

2. try re-starting the computer to see if that helps.

if it don't help, the next thing i would try is uninstall sleepyhead and re-install it.

Thank you Pats and greatunclebill. I tried them all except for the last one about uninstalling and reinstalling. I vaguely remember something about deleting the SleepyHeadData folder in Documents. I figured I had nothing to loose by doing that and importing everything again. Low and behold...it worked! I have all info up to and including the 15th of June.

I was so excited to see what the best night I have ever had since using my CPAP with minimal amount of Leaks and it sure looked good!
You folks are great! Thanks again.

Glad you got things sorted out.
SH is great software but it is still an infant in terms of age and this is just the first Beta version at that.
A reinstall would have been the only other option left and my next suggestion.
That SleepyApp Folder is independent of the actual software. When SH is uninstalled the folder is left in the MyDocuments folder. If the problem is in that particular folder then that folder would need to be removed also. If the problem is just in the main SH program..then a new install of the program is needed.
I realize that you have your issues sorted out but I am just mentioning all this in case someone reads your thread.

It is possible to uninstall SH and leave the SleepyApp folder intact and not "lose" anything if the problem happens to only be in the software part of things. I found this out when I did a new install (trying to fix the double session thing that ResMed machines sometimes have) and I had data from 5 different machines in that SleepyApp folder. While I was prepared to reinstall all of it...I didn't need to.

Did it fix the double entry problem? When I have the double entry, the day before has no data.

Not for me. That is why I did the reinstall that I tried.
The double sessions can be remedied by turning off one of the sessions. If you turn off the wrong session...then you get the no data prompt. Go back to the day with no data...and see if you have a different session available. If one is red..click on it to make it green and turn the other off (red).

Mark has addressed the double session bug for ResMed machines but has not released the update for it just yet.
