Problems importingoximetry data to Sleepyhead

Post by Arizona-Willie » Fri Feb 24, 2012 10:09 am

I've only had the program for a few days but I am having problems importing oximetry data -- and keeping it.

I use the spo2 review software and imort the o2 data to a file.

I start Sleepyhead and import the data from the S9 sd card.
That displays fine.
The I click on Oximetry and it says no data so i tell it to load from the file and it shows the data.
But when I go to detail view some days shows the data and some days don't show the data ( Oximetry data ).
I've tried loading the file for that data and telling it to save the data but it doesn't seem to work.

I can go back in the calendar and click on various days.
Some days have the oximetry data and some don't.
I don't understand why the data is not being saved with the day into which it is imported and displayed.

Assuming you started the oximeter and the xpap at the same time, after you import the Cpap data, go to the daily view. Hilight the first few seconds of the data to find the exact starting time to the hundreths of seconds. Write that down. On the Oximetry screen, click on the 'Open SPO/R file' button. Double click on the day or highlight it and click 'open'. When the data is displayed on the screen, go to the lower left hand corner of the screen and change the date and time to match your cpap data. Then click the disc icon next to the import button to save the data. Then I go back to the select user screen and the data is available.

Some days on the calendar are red and they show o2 data on the daily graphs page but not when I click on oximeter .. then it says no data.
Other days are blue blue but show no o2 data at all.
Sometimes I get a message that the time stamps are too different so the data won't be linked -- whatever that means. It happens on pages that do display data on the daily graph.

I have tried clicking on oximeter and loading the file for that day and try to reset the time ... but when I click on the button that says reset it changes to like 11/7/2076 !!!!
It wipes out the changes I made to the date that was showing.

My oximeter shows the correct date and time so I don't know why time stamps would be out of sync.

I have the oximeter all ready to record so all I have to do is click the button for it to start recording.

Then I start the S9 and immediately push the button to start the oximeter recording.

Hmm, just happened to wonder what the date is on the S9 ... haven't looked at it.

Just looked at S9 --- looks like the time setting on it is a few minutes fast.

Will have to dig out my instruction for changing the settings and correct the time.
But I doubt that is the only problem.

My oximetry screen shows 'no data' too. The data is on the summary page, the daily detail page and the overview page. The red calendar days have O2 data and the blue days do not.

I have gotten this message, too. I am not sure what it means.

My reset button sets it to 1/1/2010. Don't use the reset button. Just double click on the month field to highlight it and type in what you want. It will automatically go to the day...etc as you fill in each field. Then click the disc icon to save.

My oximeter doesn't have a time/date, so I don't know how that works. It took me forever to figure out how to load the Oximeter data. I had to start over with a new user about 5 times because I don't know how to delete data that got put in the wrong place before I figured out how to do it.

One of my days still has the same data twice with different starting times. I wish I know how to delete a days data from SleepyHead. I also wish I could edit out the artifact data where it shows my O2 as 0 because I turned on the oximeter before I put it on my finger. I used to take off my mask before turning off the machine and I have some horrendus leak data that throws my graphs way off.

I've been following along and, though I started the oximeter and S9 last night at the same time, the time stamp indicates they're about 20 minutes off. So I went into the spor data files and renamed it to correspond to the right time. Saved, then closed out and re-opened (after save going back to the SELECT USER screen isn't an option for me). And now there are two oximetry traces superimposed about 20 minutes apart.

Oh well, I got it to load today but I didn't start the oximeter at the same time as the s9 last night so the graphs aren't aligned. I guess I'll try again tomorrow.

I am new to this and I have the CMS 50F and it is quite quirky. However, here is what works for me:

1. Be sure that your computer can find the COM port for the device when hooked up (mine is on COM3)
2. Do not have SleepyHead or Rescan running
3. On the CMS, navigate to the panel with the USB/Record/Upload menus
4. Turn on USB if not on already
5. Turn on upload
6. Load SpO2 Review
7. On SpO2 -- Click on the Spyglass (lower left of SpO2 panel)
8. On SpO2 -- Select "New Session" and give it a name. I use the day of the week and fill out no other data Note: If you cannot click on the "New" button at the top, close SpO2 and reopen and reload from the CMS. I sometimes have to do this two or three times to get the "New" button to become available so that I can type in the new file name.
9. You will get an Info box that says something like, "Please wait, Info being downloaded"
10. Note: It may be necessary to go back to the CMS and restart the upload sequence without changing anything on the SpO2 program itself.

This works about 80% of the time for me. The other 20% I have to go back to step one and start again but I have always been able to download after two or three tries.

After it is loaded and you have the chart going across the page, open SleepyHead and go to the Oximetry Tab
1) Load the file you have just downloaded as reflected in your choices (e.g. Saturda 210303210750 or something like that)
2) Note the date now showing in the lower left hand corner of the Oximetry Tab of SleepyHead. If it is showing today's date and start time rather than yesterday (which is what it should be showing) change the day to reflect that the data really started, that is, last night
3) Click the save icon on the lower right of the Oximetry panel
4) Close down SleepyHead and reopen it and the data will be there in the summary, daily and overview panels.

This is the process I use and it works. There may be a more efficient process and if so, I'd like to know what steps to change.

I had to use the read date. When I changed it to the record start date, it put it in the previous days data.

You don't have to give your SPO file a name. The default is the download date and time.
