It means that you virtually have no events during the night. The AHI is a combination of apneas and hypopnias per hour of sleep. You have .06 per hour...less than 1.

Congrats!! The .6 is a wonderful AHI, but how do you feel? Do you have to drag yourself out of bed?

Not to rain on your parade but I am willing to bet that bc of the leaks your machine is not sensing many other events and the AHI you quote is misleading.

Anytime we see a Large leak notation we wonder about it and the AHI. Respironics large leak doesn't seem to be flagged until leak number is around 90 L/min total leak. During large leak it is possible that the sensors miss some events that are allowed to sneak through the defenses during a large leak. So it is possible to have a falsely low AHI being reported. Large leak reported on the LCD screen is % of time spent in large leak.

So using the software to evaluate your leak is more accurate than just the Large Leak percentage. If the bulk of the night's leak is well below that 90 L/min area and time in Large leak is relatively short lived, then I would be happy with AHI. If most of the time leak is around 80 L/min total leak..then I wouldn't be happy with any of my reports.

Seeing the leak line itself for a single night (with a typical large leak) would give us a better idea as to whether your leak is a potential problem or not. Also if you are getting up during the night for any reason and taking mask off and letting machine run...it will show as large leak and thus possibly falsely inflate the Large leak %.
