Spo2 software

Post by Axxel » Tue Sep 20, 2011 1:59 pm

I finally was able to get my cms50 to work on my windows 7. My fix was to reinstall the software with the firewall and antivirus turned off.

However, I can only view the current data on the unit. It doesnt want to save it to my computer.

Anyone know how to fix this?

current data meaning when you are hooked up to the pulse ox?

are you using the green or the red program? ie. Manager or Review?

and have you looked at this file?

Yes thats what I mean.

I am using the green review program.

I read that file. I cannot find anywhere on my computer where it saves the data to, and thus cannot review any spo2 sessions. The data folder in the spo2 folder is empty also.

C:\Program Files (x86)\SpO2\Data

mine is saved there after uploading it

the files are type SPOR - you might have to search for them but the list isn't automatically there the first time

sorry - it isn't on mine and I just installed this (reinstalled) last week

maybe you need to save the reports to be able to look at them later - you can download the same info off the pulse ox more than once at least I can with the 50F as long as you haven't started to record another session

Check your settings on that folder and see if they are hidden. I think that's the default.

Hey Axxel...
Is that 64 bit Windows 7 you're working with. I can't get my programs to do anything.

That was it! Was hidden in the appdata folder. I did the SPOR file search as Jules said and found it!

Yeah it is 64 bit. I was going in circles with this thing and just about gave up. However, I completely removed/uninstalled all spo2 software. Then I disabled BOTH firewall and antivirus and any sort of security program and then downloaded off of the pulseoxstore website.

I was surprised that did it for me because it had seemed to download it fine before, but, the comport4 would never show up. Once I did the reinstall with all that stuff disabled, it worked.

Have you tried that? You have the cms50f?
The pulseoxstore has some good instructions and tips.

I have the cms50d which uses the same software. And no I haven't tried any of those tricks but I certainly will. And will check out the pulseoxstore too.

One more question I have. I've heard that you must use the USB cord that came with the unit. I have several of those cords from cameras and such. How long and what color is the cable that came with the unit? Just so I can be assured of using the correct one...or is that a non-issue?
Thanks for the help,
Jamis

Mostly I have read that it must be the cord that came with it. However, my cms50f works on any of my usb cables

my cord is black and just over 48 in long including the connectors - no markings on it to identify it is for this - I would suggest if you figure it out to mark it with a label or colored tape or bandaid somehow

also beware about the silicon labs software - the windows update for windows 7 has the wrong one - get the right one off pulseoxstore or at silicon labs
