How to get my report (pdf) over here?

Post by sleepyleaf » Wed May 25, 2011 6:07 am

I have my overnight report on my desktop as a pdf file. I cannot figure out how to get it over here so that other members can look at it and tell me what they see. Can anyone help me with that?
Thanks

Sleepyleaf

I'm not very good with explanations, maybe someone will come along and give better instructions but I'll give it a try.

I upload my image to PhotoBucket then copy the image code, including the [Img] before and after. Paste the image code into your post, preview it to make sure it's going to work.

Good luck.

How to insert image/report

Open the image to full size so it is easily read.
I use Vista snipping tool to create a screen shot and crop the image at the same time.
Prt/scr key will also take a screen shot if using XP. If laptop is used sometimes the Fn key has to be pushed at the same time as the prt/scr key
I think windows 7 has the snipping tool.
Once the screen shot is created save it in jpg format.
Upload the image to a host site. I use Photobucket it is free, there are others.
Once the image is uploaded then copy the ENTIRE IMG address. Be sure to include the opening and closing IMG in brackets. Paste that copied address into a post here.
Use the preview button. If you can't see the image try again because if you can't see it we can't.

I think it will be easier for me to just type until I figure out how to do it. Can I get your opinions, thoughts on the following results from last night which was my first night with my new APAP: Minimum pressure was set at 8 maxiumum 15.

Here is the auto CPAP summary:
Auto CPAP Mean Pressure 10.0 cmH2O
Auto CPAP Peak Average Pressure 10.0 CMH2O
Average Device Pressure <=90% of time 14.0 cmH2O
Average Time in Large Leak Per Day 0 secs.
Average AHI 1.3

I used it 7 hours and 55 minutes. The rest of the stuff I don't really understand but wish someone could look at it. I will have to work on getting it posted.
I have hypersnap on my computer at work so I can take a screen print of it but can't figure out what to do from there.

Sue

Hi Sue,

I'll leave the analysis to someone else but here's how I do PhotoBucket. Here's the link to their home page.

http://photobucket.com/

Create an account (it's free). After that, you should see a green Upload Now button. You will have a choice of uploading from "My Computer" (some other options here if you look at the drop down box) to "Your" album.

Choose "My computer" , then choose "Select photos and videos" and it will bring up files that you can choose from. If you have yours saved to your desktop, click desktop, then the file you want to upload and click "open". This should upload your file to PhotoBucket and you should see it appear in your album.

Underneath the PhotoBucket image you uploaded, there will be a box showing your image code. Highlight this, right click and choose "Copy". Open your post here and right click and choose "Paste". Preview your post to make sure the image is showing up and looks the way you want it.

I am running Windows 7 but the instructions should be similar on other Windows operating systems. There may be an easier way but that's how I do it.

Here you go. I only did the 2 daily detailed reports. Uploaded to my photobucket account and posted here per Sleepyleaf's request.
The legend at the bottom of the report will explain what each item means and glossary in the Help section will go into even more detail.
What was original prescribed pressure use on the Plus machine? Straight cpap 15 cm is probably overkill and 8 min seems to do a good job with 15 max. Disregard that 90 % number for this report because it is elevated due to time at around 15.
What specifically do you need help with understanding? I know this is all new but with just a few nights of looking at the reports it will call become much clearer.

Pugsy - so you think the setting of 8 min and 15 max is good right?

Can you explain to me what the leak graph is showing?

I do feel like I slept better last night than I did when i just had the straight 8 on my other machine.

Does it seeem to you I am still snoring a lot?

That Flex thing is activated on this machine and I am thinking of turning that off again.

What do you mean disregard 90% number and elevated due to time around 15?

I can't wait until all of this is second nature!!!

Thanks

For last night I would totally disregard that 90 % number. In reality it only means that for 90 % of the night you were either at that number OR BELOW. To be honest, I don't base my therapy on this number just because it can vary for reasons that aren't common. Yes, it was elevated because of time spent at 15 cm and you obviously didn't need that much pressure anyway.

Snores... well they could be real and they also could be hose movement noise or they could be mixture of both. If you had an usually high number of OA or Hyponeas along with a very large number back to back snores (clusters) then I might be concerned that the snores were indicators of events that weren't being treated but we don't see that here.

The machine will usually try to treat snores IF they are accompanied by indicators of obstructive events. Clearly no pressure increases (except the plateau when coming down from 15) when you had the snores showing so we would assume that either they were hose noise or if real snores weren't accompanied by obstructive components. I wouldn't be concerned with them given your overall other event indexes were quite acceptable. Now in the future once you get a handle on things and are comfortable with what you see if you want to try a minimal increase in the minimum pressure to see if it makes a difference in snores, then go for it. But only do this once you have experience looking at your reports and feel like you are quite comfortable tweaking things. There is no pressing reason based on this one night report to change anything.

The leak line reflects the vent rate. When you started the night with 15 cm pressure the leak line shows more than later when pressure was cut in half and what we see is well within acceptable limits. It is more or less straight and that is what is more important.

Yes, for now the present settings of 8 min and 15 max seems to be doing well. Just one report though and a bit off since you started the night higher instead of normally lower. I would just leave things the way they are and watch things. Should there be pressure variations that bug you then a tighter range (reducing the max) might be indicated but if it doesn't ever go there, won't hurt a thing to leave it set this way.
