List of great sleep doctors?

Post by DocWeezy » Mon Dec 13, 2010 11:23 am

I'm wondering if it is possible to set up a "permanent" topic where users could post recommendations for sleep doctors?

I used to be on a board for knee replacement patients, and that list was invaluable for when newbies started to research orthopedic surgeons--knowing about others' experiences can really make a difference.

Personally, I think my sleep doc walks on water because of his attitude and helpfulness and I'd be happy to recommend him to anyone in the Seattle area. I'm sure there are others with positive experiences.

Or has this already been done and I just haven't found it yet?

Great idea! So far, I haven't met mine; but once I have, I'll enter my assessment.

I think the concept of a listing of good sleep medicine doctors is a great idea. I realize that there are members scattered all over the country (And world) but this could help. I have become aware that in my local area, quite a few sleep medicine doctors NEVER see their patients- my wife had a test a few years through an apparently well qualified local doctor (Board Certified, Residency at a World Famous Hospital) , but never saw anyone other than the sleep lab tech personnel. As I consequence I absolutely refused treatment through that doctor when I was required to be retested for a new machine. Fortunately, I discovered a great doctor in another town about 60 miles away.

This really is a great idea.

If the board is good with it I would love to recommend my great Sleep Dr. in Texas.
