programming data collection?

Post by Doubtful Tom » Sun Nov 21, 2010 11:17 am

Bear with me, please:

Do I need to program S9 to collect key data re AHI, hypop events, leaks, OS, etc, or does the SD card automatically collect this info?
In which case, my literacy requires learning how to access this info -- which buttons to push, etc?
And is the data listed above available only on the SD card or in Menu windows, as well?

Forgive these basic Qs. I am reading the Clinicians manual, but my humanities-style brain does not process info well in this format. I suffer from a form of techno dyslexia, and even with printed pages in front of me, it's all a wee overwhelming.

thanks,
tom

Hi Tom,

The S9 , if set up to do so, displays on the machine, the minimum data, ie: hours, leaks with the smiley/frowney face, and AHI for the period from 12:01PM to noon the following day. The card, I believe collects all the channels of information and will display it on a computer that has the ResScan software and a card reader attached. I can down load and print out the data on the card as I want to since I have the software on my lap top. The information is detailed for the last 7 days and in summary form for all older data.

I have not delved into the clinicians manual or the settings that the DME set it up with.

Good luck,
Rolf

Edit: I printed the manual out and will read it too.

A correction, if I may. There are three levels of data: summary, detail, and high resolution. The summary data is kept for 365 days on the card and gives the totals for each day. The detail data is kept for 30 days on the card. That is the data you see in Resscan charts for everything except flow. The data, except O2 and pulse, is collected by the S9 once every 2 seconds. If you have an O2 sensor O2 level and pulse is collected once every second. The high resolution data is stored for 7 days on the card and is the only flow data the S9 records. That data is collected 25 times per second. Mask pressure is in both the detail (1 per 2 sec) and high resolution (25 per sec) files. It looks like only the once every 2 seconds mask pressure is displayed in Resscan.

In Resscan you can see all the data collected provided you download and save at least once every 7 days.

Thanks for the clarification idmtn.

I printed out the clinicians manual and read it last night. I also found the area where there is more detailed data displayed on the face of the machine.

'preciate it, folks!
Now if I can just wake up enough to keep that menu window in focus ...

From the Dept of Supreme Ironies and Paradoxes: I'm so brutally tired from trying to adjust to sleeping (or not) with this gear that I can't keep straight all the info and adjustments that are supposed to help me sleep better.

Oh well, better than sleeping and waking up as Kafka's cockroach -- I guess.
