Have you tried Ambein? My sleep Doctor Prescribed Zolpidem ( generic Ambein) when I first started using my cpap. It helped big time. I took one tablet 30 minutes before bed time for the first 2 weeks and 1/2 of a tablet for two more weeks. That's probably the best thing my sleep Doctor did for me.

Sleeping with a cpap and a mask is a big change in your life. For some it is too much of a change without the help of medication. I am not saying I could not have done it without the prescription. I'm just saying it helped make the adjustment much easier for me.

Don't be afraid of it. Your brain and body needs the sleep.

No Ambien for me. Ambien is a narcotic and ive taken it in the past- didnt work for me. tonight Ill try not ramping up with it just setting it at the 6. I have the nasal pillows for a mask. I have a call in to the respiratory therapist. Hopefully tomorrow she will have some advice

Ambien has sure helped me but it's not for everyone. Ambien, generic drug name zolpidem tablets, is a non-narcotic sedative-type sleep medication. Maybe some melatonin would help you relax, and get your mind of listening and thinking about breathing into the mask. Good Luck, hope things improve for you.
