New Mask

Post by vapat75 » Mon Jul 26, 2010 4:10 pm

I went to my dr. today for follow up and I told him about the problems having with the ff Quattro and not being able to sleep with it. He wrote a prescription for a resmed Swift LT for her and a responsics chinstrap. Does the swift lt require a different size hose?

No, the standard hose will work fine.

The Swift LT is a great mask, as long as you aren't mouth breathing. IF that's an issue, look at the various options to stop mouth breathing like chin straps, pap cap, taping, or just putting a pillow under your chin if you sleep on your side.

Good luck with it--it feels like a feather after the Quattro! I love mine.

I've had lots of good results on patients in the lab with the Swift LT for her. You can try it without the chinstrap at first. But, if you are waking up with a dry mouth or don't feel rested, you may want to employ the chinstrap.
