My Resmed S9 Auto won't display AHI...

Post by Big Daddy RRT,RPSGT » Fri Apr 30, 2010 10:33 pm

My S9 Auto won't display the AHI on the unit's screen. I like to look in the morning. It does collect complete data on the SD card. I have reset the unit and formatted the card. Still will not display the AHI. It does display usage and compliance but no AHI. I have already changed the Sleep quality from "usage" to "on" any other ideas? Also I would like to see the median, max and 95th percentile on the unit's screen, any way to do that?

If you press both the information and setup buttons together, you will get another tab which has the AHI and other details.

I'm having the same problem and doing the above doesn't do anything on my machine????

Is there some trick to it that I'm missing?

I believe you keep them pressed down for 3+ seconds to trigger into the next level.

You also have to make sure you have set the Sleep Quality from Usage to ON in the clinical menu and as has been said hold the 2 buttons until the menu changes.

You also have to do this before noon otherwise there will be no information displayed (unless you change the summary to display week or month etc....)

This has to be a user error.

And you have to be displaying "Home" not... "Temp" or Humidity when you press the buttons.

The main thing I was doing wrong is looking after noon when I got home from work. This AM the AHI and pressure were there. Resmed needs to fix that. You should be able to review your data whenever you want.

I would like to see my weekly data, and I would like to see the 95th, median and max on the unit's screen if possible as this would save me the trouble of a download most days. Doing some subtle pressure adjustments trying to squeeze out that last bit of daytime sleepiness. I sleep well on various pressure settings but still feel drowsy at times. I still nod off almost daily at my desk. I get about 7hours hours of what feels like good sleep each night on various settings.

I can't find the setting to look at weekly or monthly data. It only displays last nights data. I tried pressing the information and set up buttons at the same time while at the "Home" screen but it displays no additional data. I know how to get to the clinicians menu. Is there something I'm missing?

When you're on the Sleep Report page, it defaults to "Daily". Press the big dial/button and it will highlight "daily". Press it again, and it will light up yellow. From there, turn the dial to get weekly and monthly.

A new "day" starts at noon--so if you check after noon, you won't see any data--for that "day".

Hey I figured out what I was doing wrong. All the other menus scroll down when you turn the nob clockwise. The Sleep Quality screen is the opposite you turn it counter clockwise. So after pressing the info and set up button for three seconds I saw the same data and could not scroll down until I turned the nob counter clockwise. Now I can not only see all the data but I can change the daily to weekly and monthly. Thanks for the help everybody.

This is by design--Resmed considers noon the end of one day and beginning of the next, so your daily data is rolled over at that point. So you can't see the individual daily AHI after noon. Sounds like you figured out how to get the weekly, but if you want a single night viewed on the machine itself, you have to do it before noon.
