I have my test results

Post by tiredted » Tue Dec 14, 2004 6:26 pm

My doctor says I have mild to moderate OSA. He recommends that I use a cpap with cflex for 4 to 6 weeks to see if I notice any improvement. I have a copy of my results but don't know what to post that would be considered important. Ask and I'll post. My doctor was very helpful but I still have a few questions about some of the results. For example, I had 11 OSAs during REM sleep and 4 during non-REM sleep. I had one central apnea during REM sleep. I had 37 hypopneas during REM sleep and 56 during non-REM sleep. What is considered normal for these? What is considered severe? I had 44 arousals during REM sleep and 78 during non-REM sleep. I had 9 awakenings. What's normal/abnormal? My awakening index was 2.65, whatever that means. My overall sleep disturbance was 39.2. My oxygen level was below 90% for only 1.9% of my total sleep time.

Any help in figuring this out would be appreciated!!

All in all your better off with cpap than without it. Enjoy the revival!

That doesn't seem too bad. My oxygen level was under 90% for 52% of the time with a low of 60% is that bad? They said I have severe osa.
