Encore Pro 1.8 can be set from inside the program to not erase the data. To prevent your RT from erasing your data, don't give her the card, or take a baseball bat with you. Probably they don't know how to set the program to not erase data. Jim

You can use the utility from mycpap.com to save the data on your computer. Go to the RT and it doesn't matter what they do. If they erase the data you can put it back on your card with the utility. If they changed the settings for your machine on your card, you will want to install the card in your machine and turn it on so that the new settings will take effect. Then you can use the utility to restore the data.

DALE THANKS for the info

So this software interface directly to my machine. The data on my card was erase by the RT, it is not on the card when I went to Sleep Doctor. So are you saying with this utility I can restore my data. How exactly do I do perform this task. I will download software to my computer, I assume I need some sort of cable, anymore info would be very helpful, thanks. Ted

Same story as other thread. You need to acquire a card reader:

Mako DT3500 USB (Infineer)– $39.00 + $13 shipping = $52.00

Mako DT3500 USB (Infineer)– $49.00 + $15 shipping = $64.00

Mako DT3500 SmartCard Reader USB - $54.00 – shipping unknown

Infineer (Mako DT3500) Card Reader from https://www.cpap.com - $139.00

The utility from mycpap.com won't restore lost data. It will allow you to restore it if you save it to your computer before you go to the RT. Once the RT erases it it is gone unless you have already saved a copy to your computer. Then you can put it back on the card. As Babette said, you need to get the card reader.

She didn't really erase your SmartCard data - it was her EncorePro software and PC that erased it.

On your next visit to the RT, educate her/him on the EncorePro Reporting Software setting that enables a Prompt message which will ask him/her whether to keep or erase the SmartCard data after it is downloaded.

The RT, for their copy of EncorePro, needs to start EncorePro, click on EncorePro Preferences, click on System Settings, and then check the little box to the left of the description Prompt to "Keep Compliance Data on SmartCard after Download" after a Download. Then the RT should click on Apply, and click on OK. This setting will be used for all future SmartCard downloads, giving the RT the chance to Keep or Erase the SmartCard data after it is downloaded to the EncorePro Reporting Software.

Would the RT have the old data that she erased from my smart card, on her computer and can she reload it back onto my smart card.

No when the data is erased by Encore Pro, it's gone. She should have the download file on her computer, but there's no provision for restoring it to the card. Jim

So she should be able to print the report for me if I try to be nice.

The only other problem is that they only have a black and grey printer not color, which is wrong since I have four, and they cost next to nothing, any ideas how to get this report in color, and you think she saved a copy, or does the software save it for her.

She did print out a copy last time for her records, so if you print the report do you have to save it before.

It is saved automatically by Encore Pro in your patient file. If she makes a .pdf and saves it, it will be in color. jim

Take a USB flash drive (64MB will be more than adequate) and ask the RT to export your EncorePro (EP) patient file to your USB flash drive. Save the exported XML file until you get your own copy of EncorePro, or until a friend with EP offers to print your sleep reports.

Unless the RT deleted your patient file after she downloaded your smartcard to EncorePro, all the information needed to generate your sleep report (including the detailed report) is still in the EP SQL tables. If she is PC savvy, ask her to save the detailed EP report as a PDF file to your USB drive. She can use the EP provided "Export to PDF" option which is available when an Interaction is opened from the Patient Home Page.

If she has the file, what report has the most detail that is older than 7 days, I want to have more detail from a month or so ago, thanks.
