Quattro is a good choice. Pick the same size, but as far as marks on your face, forget it, you get them with quattro too especially if you dont sleep on your back. But, they quickly go away when you wash your face and rub them out or hop in the shower. Also, review the disk that comes with it, you probably have the straps set too tight

DO NOT PICK THE SAME SIZE!

Insted go to the ResMed web site and download the mask fitting template. The template is very easy to use and will tell you the correct size Quattro to get. I just went through this because, apparently, I used a large size mask in my sleep study and that is the size I was perscribed. The problem is I don't know what make of mask was used. Each manufacturer sizes their masks differently. You may need a large from one but a medium from another. The template will size you properly.

Yes, for a perfect seal, it may leave marks on your face but not as bad as one that is the wrong size.

Hi,

I actually did the exact opposite of what you are are talking about doing. I went from the QFFM (Quatro Full Face Mask) to F&C 431/432. I used a medium QFFM for about 2 months but had problems with my nose bridge having day long red marks (the side sleeper issue). I've spent weeks with three sizes of the QFFM (small medium and large). Only the medium worked for me. I was never able to get the QFFM to work for well for me. I just could not get the QFFM to stop leaking and the leaks kept waking up either me or my spouse! It may be my pressure but the QFFM leaks tended to be of the loud and "rude" type at least on my face.

My DME and I tried various masks and sizes (a 3 month long adventure). After working through many FFMs, I ended up settling on a Fisher and Paykel 431 (and I played around with all three sizes). I settled in on large but, I could also use the medium (my face seems to be somewhere in-between the two sizes.) I have found though that I prefer the F&P 432 in large even better (it is less sensitive to leaking from side sleeping, for me, then the 431 or QFFM.)

So, for me a F&P 431/432 in large was about the same fit as a QFFM in Medium.

BTW, I also use a Comfort Gel Full in Medium and a Pro Basics ZZZ Full Face Mask in Medium to (move the nose bridge pressure point around)

Good luck.

Cruiser - not to confuse things here but you should know.
A FP 431 mask and and FP 432 are a bit different in sizing bc of the foam insert used in the 432 taking up space.

For example a Med. 431 will require a Lg. 432 for the very same face.

While the Quattro is a very good mask, I would say if its marks you are concerned with - use a mask, such as nasal pillows or just a nasal mask, where the seal doesn't touch your face. The more sealing surface, the harder it is to seal, period. Esp. as pressures increase.

So where pillows only contact the nares, they are much easier to seal. Plus no face marks.
