Pillows
Pillows
Hi, I am hoping that you may be able to guide me. I am going to be a newby on Thursday when I go to get my trial machine and mask. I don't know what they are going to give me but I have a very good idea of what I WANT after reading all of the great information on this site. This may be putting the cart before the horse but I am wondering if the Multi-Mask Sleep Aid CPAP Pillow is something that is worth considering or if a regular pillow will suffice. If I am going to have to use a machine when I sleep I want to try and make it as user friendly as possible. I have had a really hard time coming to grips that I have sleep apnea so finding this site has really helped me to take the steps to get started on therapy. Thank you in advance

Re: Pillows
I have the Double Edge Papillow that I bought from capap.com. I like it very much, in fact I just received my second one today, so that I don't
have to carry it to and from between MI and AZ. My wife even liked using it and she is not a CPAP user. Check it out.

We need to know what position(s) you sleep in. Side? Back? Tummy?Windmill wrote:Hi, I am hoping that you may be able to guide me. .......
And which mask you will be using.
Some people swear by specialized pillows. I bought a couple of them when I was a newbie and never use them now. A couple of common 3-inch synthetic down (nonwoven polyester) pillows will work as well as anything, IMO. For example: http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product. ... id=8154285

I did not like the multi-mask contour pillow...it is very firm and has little give at all. I never could get used to it. The double edge pap pillow is nice. It is rather thick though but the best I have found for leaks. Some just prefer a down pillow or shapeable pillow from target.
